Hey folks, based on our experiences in Houston during major rain storms, you don't want to be in an underground garage if you are in the path of this storm. Rainfall of 10 to 20 inches can overwhelm your city's drainage system and lead to major flooding. Forget about the cars. We had several people drown when entire walls collapsed in some underground garages. In one case, the water flooded an elevator. So make your own call, but simple physics should tell you that being below ground level during a major-major rain storm is not a good idea.
