David,

In-laws live in MA. My dad has a place there also, among other places.

I live in the Bay Area, CA.

picking up chics or not - you still made it in my book

thats exactly the car i saw a summer ago -
i'm assuming it was you since there aren;t too many of those floating around- sweet color combo by the waybentleys are one of those cars that really need to be seen up close to be fully appreciated- the magic is in the details

i used to park my supra on newbury- its much easier to park there than people think- i could safely leave the targa off and no one would with the car

those were some good times

no better place to be than back bay in the spring

so you live in ca but your parents have a place here?

David,

The one I drove is an Arnage T. The color is called Wildberry or something like that. It's a bit of a maroon color. The interior is Oatmeal, which is pretty self explanatory.

I was driving with my wife and two of her friends. One of which is unfortunately not a looker :-(. Picking up girls in a Bentley is a redundant proposition, and gladly one that is definitely not very interesting practice for me.

They have an older Turbo R also. That one is British Racing Green with a tan interior. My dad has the really cool ones, but those are not in the U.S.

Cheers

what color is your parents bentley?- is it a variation of red/maroon or platinum?- i've seen both driven by young guys filled with car loads of you8ng delicious girls- i tend to curse under my breath a lot when i see something of this nature- but certainly wouldn't mind trading places

nike town is pretty pimp

you know what fairly new store is good stuff- the puma store up near the virgin megastore end

so doody- any word on what happened to foriegn auto exchange? that was always the highlight of my day when i used to work on harvard ave

also the AM/Lotus dealership is in such an odd area of town- everything around it is kind of ghetto - then bam an 02 vanquish behind glass under soft lighting

vegas has this one dealership- towbin bentley/rr/hummer i think- where only 1 block away they have a 7 - 11 that has to put security tags on packs of gum-

I've been pleasantly surprised to see a lot of nice exotics on the street in the area since moving here in July... 550's, 360's, Z-8, and an F-40 last Sunday. I was thinking with the less-than-ideal weather people would back off.

Way more exotics here than in Hawaii. I've seen more here in 4 mos. than four years there... better weather, but then again there in many parts of the island they'll rust too, and wages aren't nearly what they are here in Boston.

Were any of you in Newbury Street today?

I went big pimpin' style with my family's Bentley to Nike Town to buy workout clothes. Saw a red/tan 355 parked in front of Armani.

yeah david! at comm ave and brighton st., right?

i lived right near there for a while (abbottsford rd. in brookline) and used to walk past it all the time on my way to the sunset (mmmm.... beeer......).

they just up and disappeared one day. if i recall correctly, the stock got less and less expensive over a few month period - a sure sign they weren't doing well.

doody.

I spent four years living on that boat (spirit), ran as capt. part time, then switched to harbour express, commuter fast ferries.

Thanks guys.

I'm quasi mobile...

I went to college here and have spent part of junior high school here as well. I was never into the car scene while in college although I purchased some cars for my dad's friends from the now long since defunct Foreign Auto Exchange. I think one of the folks who worked there now works in the Aston Martin dealership.

Just wondering if there was anything new...like F1 Boston! Sounds like fun. I might go check it out.

Cheers

Was just up there this weekend. Wife has been working there the last few years so she/I commute on the weekends. Spent 4 months up at MIT on a sabbatical last fall. Perhaps it's all the time I spend there, but I don't see much in change aside from restaurants closing and opening. Did the Spirit of Boston cruise.

And I'm with Rob. I'd rather be in Texas than up there (spent 4 years in Michigan for school plus plenty of cold weather weekends in Boston). Summer is hell, but we've got 7-8 months of weather bliss down here in Houston coming up.

Car places? There's the Aston Martin/Lotus dealer in Watertown (www.astonmartin-lotus.com). Always a few cool gems from the 60s and early 70s there. They've had a Dino 246 in the past (and probably still do). A couple of years ago a brand spankin' new 550 Barchetta was just down the street from our place up there (Brookline/Beacon-Tappan Street area). Saw an F40 last fall while bicycle riding in the Needham area. Diablos, 355s, 360s, 348s, Ducatis down on Newbury.

I've done the Spirit of Boston cruise if that's the party cruise that goes out around the harbor with dancing and stuff. A good time.

I spent four years around Boston area for college. I loved everything about it except the weather. That's why I'm in Texas.

mr doody i made the same exact post - but for some reason it never posted - car people hink alike

check out f1 boston- it has euro go karts- a resturant, bar, pool tables, and usually a pretty bad ass car parked inside i.e. mclaren f1 le means race car -
ironically its not in boston - but in braintree- worth the 20 minute trip imho

drive thru the callahan runnel with the chemical brothers music repsonse cd track 3 blasting on the radio - i used to do this in my supra tt - targa off - and it was simply f u c k ing amazing
i can't even imagine what the f1 drivers feel like flying thru the tunnel in monaco

drive up to nh and check out the scenery - very new england - very beautiful maybe its just me missing the greenery out here in lv

catch a sox game in the next 2 days - we will probably clinch the wild card and its been since 99 that we were still playing on october

this thread made me miss home i guess i do in fact love that dirty water

welcome to town!

if you're mobile, FoNE is located out in West Newton near Watertown. Boston Sportscar is located in Weston. they're a service shop, not a sales shop, so there's no showroom or people to talk to, but there's generally a half-dozen ferraris and lambos parked out front.

otherwise on a nice day like today, just grab a seat at a sidewalk cafe on Newbury St. and nice cars will waft by now and then.

enjoy the stellar weather!

doody.

Seems every time I'm in Boston the town changes a lot, yet everyone complains about nothing ever getting done (big dig)!

I have limited internet access...anyone know of noteworthy car places?

Cheers
