"you can buy the big ass transporter and drive the piss out of it" Dennis, that made me laugh, reminds me of those big truck races that used to be on TV occasionally - weren't they from Europe? Showed my wife the photo of the FoLI rig and she thought it was cute! Wonder if that means, "I love you and want you to be happy, please go ahead and buy the big red truck and park it in front of my house."

Will, I'm probably completely wrong on this, but I think you can drive whatever you want WITHOUT a CDL (Commercial Driver's License) IF you're not doing it "for hire." In other words, you can buy the big ass transporter and drive the piss out of it, just don't do it for pay for someone else. Or, as always, I could be completely wrong about all of this. And, of course, if you're really desperate for a buyer, I'll make a reaaaaaallllllllyyyyy lowball offer! vty, --Dennis

BobD, in the back of the latest Racer magazine there's an ad for what looks like Ferrari of Long Island's transporter - tractor and trailer for $87k. Might be kind of fun to see it in the driveway - perhaps not for my wife, however. Also, I suspect a CDL is needed ... but I don't want to drive it, I just want it as landscaping! Wish I owned the transporter in the photo, it's quite nice. Carries up to 7 cars, driver's lounge, etc. |

Doody - just a new engine. Took delivery of the car in June '03, have used it at 3 or 4 events. It definitely is a lot of fun - but I have a Stradale on the way, and something needs to go. I realize that isn't consistent with my willingness to consider a trade, but ... if you're looking for mental health, you've come to the wrong place.
