BobD, I forgot that you love the F150s. But you're about a month too late. A friend of mine just sold his father-in-law's 1956 F-150 for $2500. The new owner drove it home. Do you prefer the later engines or are you a flathead traditionalist?

For the $ a 308 is the way to go. I loved mine. Drove it 85K miles. The supercharger Mark E engineered on his is way cool.

No progress on the vette project James. Too many irons in the fire and nothing is heating up yet! However I did waste about a half hour of long distance phone time today while tracking down the fishy title history on a 308 that I found for sale. Research continues and the jury is still out. Buy in haste, repent in leisure. My money is still in my pocket as of this writing.

Arlie
What up with your vette? The first Ferrari I ever rode in was a 750 Monza with a small block stuffed in as the Monza motor had blown up. (It was sitting on the garage floor) I was 17 and the guy was asking 3500 for it including the blown motor. Somehow my Dad didn't think it was the car for me to drive to school in esp. as it had no top, or windshield for that matter and the NY winter's often were a little snowey. I never forgot that car or how the vette motor pushed my eyeballs back in my head...

It all depends on the type of torqueing done with the spiraling decombobulators. If done correctly, your blinker fluid level should drop to the level accepted by the National Fenestrators Association.

Everybody respects James G. so much that they often post a question thread aimed at him specifically. Since it's a slow Friday here at work, I thought that I would post a thread aimed at myself, let a few people answer it, and then delete my original posting within an hour. Then the Johnny-come-latelys that happen along will think that somebody was actually seeking my advice concerning something important, thereby elevating my status on F-chat. Sounds like a good idea. Cheaper than restoring a P-4. What do you think?
