Jim;

I have boarded copper a few times. My personal favorite would have to be Wolf Creek in So. Colorado. Lots of insane runs and tons of deep natural powder plus next to no lift lines. I think the longest i ever had to wait was perhaps 5 mins.

I have not been out there since they opened up the new chair lift in the waterfall area but looking at the trail map it looks like they have opened up a lot more outragious runs.

Anyone flown the approach into Jackson Hole in the Winter? I have, in weather, in a non-deiced plane (too cold for ice then). If you saw the approach from the front seat, you'd never fly in there again in weather.

Rob, ski Copper. Cheap lift tickets here:

Avoid Keystone. Worst ski trip of my life last year, and I've had a lot of ski trips!

My parents have a house on the north side of
Santa Fe. You have the Taos Ski Valley to
the north. When you have been to the best
places; it is time to try Taos. Some of the
runs are insane. I have never seen anyone
on Pollux. I suppose double black diamonds
do not give that run justice.

Drstranglove, I have a home in Jackson Hole Wyoming very close to the mountain which is one the best in the country. It's in a gated high security area with a golf course and tennis courts. BTW one reason security is so good is that the Vice-President is one of my neighbors. If you're interested eamil me at [email protected].

Go to Silverthorne, CO. and stay in the Days Inn or the Comfort Inn or the Super 8 Motel. All should be around $100/night and it's 20 minutes to 3 great ski areas. Or drive a little further for 3 or 4 additional ski areas. I do it once or twice a year with a couple of friends for short trips.

Andrew H, I would be very interested in talking to that friend, I love Whistler but hotels are RIDICULOUS out there during the ski season ($300 a night for a comfort inn level place) I would love to go for maybe 3-6 nights if the price was decent, could you give me a way to contact him? My email is [email protected]

If you want great snow and awesome terrain, check out Jackson Hole, WY. They run specials on their air, accomodations, and lift ticket inclusive packages all season long. Awesome snow mobiling too!

I have a friend who has a timeshare on Whistler/Blackcomb that often sells days for reasonable prices. Interested in skiing British Columbia?

Move to Colorado. I only live about 1 hour from Winter Park and 1.5 from Vail. You get great deals on passes. It's the only way I know of to get so much skiing that you poo-poo skiing before Christmas as the snow stinks and you're tired of it by March, when the best skiing starts.

And the Summers here are the absolute best for outdoor sports.
