Oh f*ck off Amir.

I don't play the victim card, I make do with what I've got.

Like it or not, there is a double standard against white men, and since you ain't one of them, I guess it may be hard for you to imagine that it exists.

Nibs, instead of playing the victim card, perhaps you should look around at all those less fortunate than you, and be thankful for everything you have?

its amazing so much is made of it, he knows the guy likes to eat chicken and watermelon - what wrong with that? Fuzzy's comments about collar greens was not bad either except he referred to Tiger as "boy". Whats wrong with assuming people of a particular race eat the typical diets in the country they may be from. too much PC. I am german irish, if someone said they should fill me up with potatoes and beer, I would think its funny

Bob,
Funny. I would say that personal politics aside, when the President of the United States invites you...you go. If you oppose his views, what could be better than to meet him face to face and sit for a few hours and discuss your views? Michael Moore would go meet Bush, maybe even Telson!!!

it was a stupid comment. but true it will go unchecked, largely because of Tomlinson's reaction. He Wore Seau's jersey around afterwards.

I cant remember what Dusty Baker said, but that sounds like it was a dumbass comment too.

I've learned that, by accepting the fact that there is a double standard when dealing with white men, life is much easier.

Until you accept that fact, you will constantly bang your head against the wall.

DL, would you want to go hang out with Clinton? I'd make up the vacation excuse too.

Nibs is right. What Dusty Baker said about black people being built to perform better in the sun went unchecked. He even went out of his way to reiterate it when questioned.

Ask Al Campanis, Jimmy the Greek, Howard Cosell, Fuzzy Zoeller, etc what happens when a white person makes a statement like that (I realize two of them are dead).

The ironic thing is that a week after the Zoeller / Woods thing, President Clinton invited Woods to New York for the Mets game commemorating the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson's first game...arguably the most important event in the history of Afro American sports history.

Tiger declined the invitation, stating he needed a vacation instead.

WRONG!!!!

No one will care.

He ain't white, so therefore, he ain't a racist.

Did anyone see this? When asked how a team can stop LaDanian Tomlinson, he responded by suggesting you fill him up with fried chicken and watermelon. This is a near repeat of the infamous Fuzzy Zoeller/Tiger Woods/Masters dinner comment. It will be interesting to see the difference in fallout since, this time, it came from a non-Caucasian.
