Thanks guys, and thanks James for the offer. I've been sort of looking for two years now, and I'll tell you, it was easier finding my 328!

I have not seen a nice CSI in quite a long time. When I was looking for one for myself, which I failed to act on soon enough, it sold for $24K. It was a 30K mile car with all services up to date and a nice silver with dark blue leather interior. Paint and interior were in great condition. Did have a small crack in the dash was that was fixable.

I mistakedly posted that the fuel injected car had more power. The carbureted car was quicker as this was a very early type of fuel injection and was in no way as good as what we have today. And the carbureted car still had the great sound of the air rushing thru the venturis of the carbs.

BTW, just for info purposes. I was with BMW for 17 years before going to Ferrari and was their North American Product Knowledge champ from 1991-1996. I may not know all the answers from that time but I still have a few contacts I can call to find out the right answers.

James is correct. The carb'ed cs was slightly quicker than the injected iteration.
I would guess the relative value today depends on how many of each type were produced.(I don't know the numbers)
I do know that a few yrs ago the 3.0cs were selling for bet 8k and 12 k.I am told by a dealer that a pristine one today will sell for 20k plus. What do the csi"s sell for?

The CSI is easier to drive in all atmospheric conditions and at all altitudes due to the fuel injection. Carburetors are inherently harder to keep adjusted for different seasonal and atmospheric changes. Besides that, the fuel injected car had a little more power.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Its always been on my list of "cars I have to have."

Martin, do you think the CS lost anything to the CSI because it wasn't fuel injected?

Look very carefully in the strut and shock towers as these were prone to rust in the upper parts there. There were some overheating problems also, so make sure the cooling system,ie:water pump, radiatior and cooling fans are all in good shape.

Beautiful body design. Hope you find and enjoy one.

Rare car, looks fantastic. My cousin had/has one, needed some body work, I can ask him if he still has it.

Anyone have any ownership experience? What to look for, which year, etc. Always wanted one, and am thinking about starting a serious search.
