(( I enjoyed driving BobD's Mini at high speed around his neighborhood. It's great after a few bottles of wine! ))

JimE, I recall playing basketball with a few kids (and Rob) under the lights when a flash flew by the house. :-)

Dave, I love the Pure Silver/Black... just like ours! :-)

JT

there is a race series in the UK for the Cooper (not S) called the John cooper Challenge, it's a mixture of sprints and tracks, a good friend of mine has just come second in this years championship

Love the MINI.

Now I have to pick between it and the 328... until the 328 turns into a 456 next year. :-)

I finally got around to taking some pictures of my car. They are not the best in the world, but they will do for now.

Congrats!! They are fantastic cars. I got my mom one a few months ago and whenever I visit I love to take it out. Probably the most fun for dollar value out there.

JT -
I heard that there is/was discussion about a "Spec-Mini" type race class much like the Spec-Miata series. Don't know if the idea ever took off though......

The Mini is a great car. My girlfriend had one until recently. She loved it but she kept having problems with tire pressure monitor. Her car had the three piece 17" rims with the run-flat tires and her tire pressure monitor was going haywire. It had been replaced and the problem persisted. The other problem is that the closest dealer is in Suburban Philadelphia, about 80 miles away. She got tired of having to rearrange her schedule to get the car looked at and have it act up a few weeks later. She does miss it though. And I must say that the service from the Mini dealer was excellent.

Congrats.....I am 6'2" and I doubted that I would fit comfortably inside one of these but was amazed when I did. I've had a chance to drive one and fell in love. Now if I only wasn't saving for my TR.......

Great looking cars, Bobd.

I know what you mean about the 328, my dad has one. He has let me drive it quite a bit, and it definetly feels much heavier than the Cooper.

The Cooper is incredibly tossable and light... and it's so easy to drive (see my profile pic). Then I get in my 328 and it just feels heavy all over. I really enjoy driving our MINI S (when I can get my wife out of it). It's a blast. You're right, there are a bunch of F-Chatters with Coopers.

Congrats on your new car, Matthew... obviously worth the wait! :-)

Well, it finally came. After a 4 month wait my MCS is finally home. It is one fun car. It handles incredibly. I took it up the canyon yesterday and could not believe how solid of a car it is, especially with a base MSRP at 19,5xx. I have put 250 miles on it in two days, and I feel like I have hardly driven the car. Anyway, I just wanted to post because I know a lot of people on this board have MC.
