Ahhhh - the Transformer's Movie. I, too, almost cried when IronSides got shot through the chest by Megatron. It was completely shocking to see holes get burned through my favorite Autobots, watch their eyes lose their light, and see oil spurt from greivous wonds inflicted by deceptecons.

And the battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron - they really f*cked each other up! It was shocking! And they died! AND CUSSED!

Ah the wonders of memory.
just reading the Evil Kenivel thing reminded me that i also had the Stunt Car and the Carrying case that became a stadium complete with Ramps and hooks for Stunts.
RC/ Slot Cars
I inherited lots of Hotwheels tracks (the orange ones) and when we were not beating the hell out of each other with those wicked plastic swords I had so many that I managed to run a track out of a second story window down to the driveway. Damn cars were tough.
Built a lot of Revel Models and had a gas powered airplane that flew on the end of two strings. Damn thing was a leathal combo of clutzy kid A high speed Gas engine and a slight case of Veritgo from turning in circles as it flew.....
Best was a weird imagination. I would build all sorts of things and i made a hang glider out of balsa wood and tissue for my GI Joe. Had lots of explaining when the neighbors called my mom at work to tell her I was climbing on the roof of the house and test flying the thing all day.
Radio Shack Walkie Talkies, you could almost be 10 feet away and talk to your friend like he was 100 miles away......

Any AMT or Monogram model kit. Mostly cars and airplanes.

Built our own Unlimited Hydroplanes (Seattle Seafair Gold Cup Races) out of plywood and towed them behind our bikes.

As several of you have already said - Evil Kenieval ( sp? ) stunt bike.

however, added interest to the toy as around the time I had it ( I was born in 1971 ), Elvis died, and I was convinvinced that Evil and Elvis were the same person - jump suit, flares , american etc.

On the topic of Transformers, who were the enemies called? Decepticons?

I had a few, but one special one that I had (that I remember) was an orange service truck that had a crane on its back. I think the crane became his cannon when he transformed from the truck into a robot-man. He wasn't a popular one and would rarely appear on the Saturday-morning cartoon show. I certainly impressed my friends, I was the only kid on the block with that one!

Funny, I still have most of these toys stashed away in boxes deep in the garage... Right next to the big toy...

Steven, I had Rudy the Robot too!! lol I forgot about him. When he bumped into something he would go into reverse. I can still hear the sound he made.

What about the SST race cars and smash up derby? Anyone remember Verti-Bird? When that came out I was "too old", but I remember how cool the commercials made it look. Man, did I want that thing.. lol.

Sunny - good god. Don't get me started.

I would personally like to smack the IDIOT who made the transformers movie. What sick, twisted demented individual made a death scene of every 6 year old's idol TWENTY minutes long?

I remember my mother took me, and every kid in the theater was balling their eyes out. Only movie I ever cried in.

My "Dinky Toy" car collection (100+) and my slot car set with a Carrera GT6 and Ferrari P4 race set.

I actually had a 24 hour slot car race once in the basement of my buddies house when I was 12. We started at 4pm and finished at 4pm the next day. My Porsche won when his electric motor gave out and he had to change it.

What you're looking at here was affectionately known as "Big Green Race". It was the Summer of '69 (which explains the haircut) and life was free and easy. When it came to choosing racing clothes, it's easy to tell I took my cue from the country club-influenced sport racers of the 50's and early 60's. Call this my first official track day, so get the hell out of the way, Mommy, I've got a driveway to conquer.

Evel Knievel Stuntcycle rocked, too. I had the Scramble Van to go with it.

Wasn't the first Nintendo game the original Super Mario Bros. as well as Duck Hunt? You got your two controllers, nintendo unit, and some had the little laser-gun used with Duck Hunt, right?

what was the very first Nintendo game system that came out? In other words what was included inside the box and which game (first game ever!) ?

1) 007 Spy camera that turned into a gun.
2) GI Joe walkie-talkie
3) Hot Wheels track that re-charged with the battery jack
