Randall has the right idea. I'd put in just the thought, then the link. Most of the complaints come from those who'd rather not read all of this. I do agree with most of what you've said, but the delivery could use a little help.
OK, where possible I'll try and cut down on posting the full articles.
I'll still occasionally need to post the full articles as some web sites, eg the New York Times, revert to a pay site after a couple days of free viewing, meaning you can't read the link anymore unless you're a payed subscriber.

To be honest, Telson, I never read the quoted stuff either. While I agree with most of what you say, the headlines give me the gist of what you are referring to. If I want to read more (as I did with the mass letters sent out by that bozo) I click on the click and read it directly from the source.

While I agree with some of your views, could you stop reprinting entire articles. A simple link is sufficient and holds people's attention more. As it is, when I see pages of reprinted material I don't bother reading any of it. If you choose to keep doing it, fin. But keep in mind that it makes a lot of people not read what you write. |
