As for bikes, I have to agree though, extremely dangerous stuff, I quit riding em after I used up all my luck on two wheels pulling crazy stunts when I was a teenager.

Thanks for reminding me Allan. That is exactly why I will NEVER get a bike. The California Highway Patrol put out a mag that has accident photos in it. They had even worse picture than that.
I had a Vespa scooter once, for about two weeks. I got rid of it after the motor seized on me while I was going about 60 mph, with a truck right behind me. I must have skid 30 yards, before I realized what happend and squeezed the clutch to stop skidding. The only thing that kept me from dumping it was, as a kid we would ride our bicycles as fast as we could get them going and then slam on the breaks to see who could make the longest skid mark. If I had gone down in front of that truck it would have been nasty, even though I had a helmet on. Those only protect your skull not the rest of your body.
What I just don't get is that when they first came out with the helmet law, all the bikers were crying about it. Anyway, you won't find me on a motor cycle, there is just waaaaaaaaay to much room for something bad to happen. |
