I had one for 2 years before getting a new C32. The C43 is awesome as a daily driver. It's very stealthy, fast, comfortable, the V8 sound is tremendous (in fact I really miss it in the C32), the brakes are excellent, the back seats are useful though not so great for tall people, the folding rear seats give the trunk great room, the controls are well designed and the stereo is great. Cons? Not many - it's a bit front-heavy which is very noticeable on the track though not on the street. As Dave H said, the styling is a bit dated especially since the intro of the new C-class. Mine didn't have HID lights which I've come to love in the C32. Also, the CD changer is in the trunk - a bit of a pain. Given how the prices have fallen it's a steal. I paid $54K before taxes, etc. in '99. Get a Starmark car from your local dealer with the excellent warranty if you can. - Will '02 C32 '92 512TR |

I sold them new and we had no specific problems with the car that I am aware of. It offers performance and space utilization that is better than my favorite car, the Porsche 911. I think that they are a great value with the prices dropping like they are. |

A friend had one, I have driven it, and considered buying it from him...has a hell of a motor in it, decent handling and good brakes..I just could not get over the dated looks. Ended up getting a BMW 540i M-sport (with M-5 factory body kit as part of the M-sport package). Still not quite the same in performance as the C43, but more attractive, modern looking car to me. If you like the looks, seems there are no big issues with the car. Get one, and start smokin' all those ricers! :-) |

Tyler, There's a guy on here, Wyatt H, that has one. You may want to ask him... I know he enjoys the C43.

Been looking at the rapidly dropping prices of the mini-sedan with the nice little V8. Looks like one would be great for shooting around town while still being able to throw junk in the back. Does anyone have one? Pros? Cons?
