Remember, if you throw enough s**t against the wall, some of it starts to stick. |

Didn't get far enough to read about the mad cow reference. The Chinese space program reference was just in reference to a thread a few days ago. Good points though. |

Jason, The thing about this guy, is he didn't offer any conclusive proof of anything. He did say some stuff that was interesting, however it was nothing that anyone could not find out through web searches (i.e. saying CERN was working on proton acceleration). He didn't say anything really about near future stuff that anyone could look back on and say "wow he was right about that". Saying China will put a guy in orbit between "2001 and 2036" is a pretty.. uhh... easy prediction to make. Sort of like saying "In the next 35 years, a hydrogen car will be available to the public" - then when it comes out in 2021, would everyone be shocked? The one glaring thing he was utterly wrong about was all the hoopla about GJC (I think he called it), or in other words mad cow disease. It was just starting back then, and he "predicted" it would be a world issue. But it was not - and actually that particular issue is basically dead now, a non-issue. I don't see it flaring up, do you?

I must confess that I too am a time traveler and can offer amazing insight into the future. A few of my predictions: 1. Sometime within the next 48 hours Gary Green will make at least 5 more stupid posts. 2. Dave (maranelloman) will repost half a dozen "OWNED!" pictures in response to Green 3. Within the next month a new member will join Fchat and ask if they can put challenge grills on their 360. 4. Bruce Wellington will continue to type messages in all caps.

Anyone ever heard about this? http://www.johntitor.com/ I just found the website this evening and have been reading his posts for the last few hours. VERY intriquing (sp?) stuff! Supposedly the US will go through a Civil war in 2005, and WW3 will begin around 2015. In Feb. '01, he was asked if China has a manned space program between 2001 and 2036, he replied with "I believe they are pretty close to putting a man in orbit. It shouldn't surprise you if they do that soon." http://www.johntitor.com/Feb2001.htm Thoughts? |
