oh and your right about what matters is whats under the skin, AC built both the Chassis and body for the AC Cobra then fitted an off the shelf Ford engine, what exactly did shelby build? (if it wasnt the chassis, body, interior, electrics, brightwork, paint or running gear!) Shelby built the cobra in the same way as people federalising Euro cars for the US "build" Ferraris |

Jim, dont doubt shelby built it (or it was built for shelby with an AC body) however I have an issue with the whole shelby continuation thing, as the Cobra Mk 1,2,3,4 and CRS (as was the Ac Ace the car the cobra replaced)have all been built in england then sold by shelby how can he build a continuation based on unused chassis / numbers, when the orginal manufacturer is still making them |

Trust me guys THIS IS NOT A KIT CAR! The body is British, but everything else is Shelby/Ford/Baer/etc The body is english but what makes it a classic is under the skin. All you have to do is stand next to it at idle |

Great looking car, dont understand how shelby can make continuation cars in the US when the originals are / were made in Thames Ditton in the UK by AC cars (hence it being originaly the AC Cobra not shelby), another classic English car (even though the shape is based on the F 166mm Barchetta) |

When I was 20 I was going to Boston U, taking a photo class. 1 assignment I chose was to find a 427 Cobra & shoot it for class I contacted SAAC & they hooked me up with a very nice SAAC member who I still see every now & then. His 427 was exactly like this 1 except it was an original Of course we went for a ride too I remember we pulled up to a stoplight next to a Subaru & the Cobra was just gently rocking from side to side from the torque. what an awesome car |

It was made by Sanderson Sales and SHELBY AMERICAN as a 80'th birthday car for Carroll Himself. It is a "Continuation" from all the origional moulds and stampings. It is a rocket that will snap around if you are not ever so careful. 1 of 10 Phantom Cobras it has a ghost snake painted on the front fender. #10 is owned by Lenny Kravitz.

Jim, beautiful car!! Is this the real thing or a newer kit? I think the Cobra, the 60's era Corvette and the 68' & 69' Camaro are the most amazing older cars. If I ever get a larger garage and can stomach more $$'s in 'metals' I hope to get one someday. |
