Forget about the prices for now, just want to know about the handling vs the C5. Thanks |

I test drove a 99 c2 and I really liked it, it was fun to drive and felt really good, then I test drove a 2002 which has 30 more hp and you can really feel the difference. Haven't driven a c5 so I can't compare but you look into the 320 hp carrera if you can. |

I think the corvette is much less expensive. A nice 6 speed coupe is low 30's. probably about the same for a hardtop, which will handle better because its stiffer and will have the Z51 suspension, which came standard on the hardtop, but is optional on the coupe and more people opted for the FE45 or whatever the option colde is for the electronically adjutsable suspension . |

Just curious, I've been looking and a 99 Porsche 911 C2 is worth about the same as a 99 C5 and they are pretty much identical in straight line speed (0-60 in 4.7 for vette, 4.8 for 911) and both pretty reliable, 911 more so probably...anyway, I guess it basically comes down to handling and feel, I haven't driven a 911, so which handles better, feels better to drive? Could be an option to replace the C5... |
