I used to race 100cc Enduro (laydown) Karts when I was young. We only went about 130mph at Mid-Ohio... |

A guy I know used to run 250cc unlimited carts, at Mid Ohio he would hit around 170, with your butt 2 inches off the ground and almost laying flat it must feel like 500. |

Art has those insane carts ? Well that scares me too much. There is always hope that I may change my mind in the golden years when I begin to eat frequently at Luby's. |

After (and actually before, but more now!) seeing video of the GSXR1100 powered kart posted to Fchat recently, I want one of those insane monsters! Silly-too-much power, but looks like a hoot to drive. F1 drivers stay in practice on 125cc shifters. I can see why. Best! Ben. |

Randall, there's a ton of bike-engined cars in England. Usually it's done with 900cc motors and up. But for a cart, 600cc would be way over the top already. Certainly doable and certainly great fun!!!! If it's small enough, you wouldn't need to bother with the electric reverse, which seems to be a big issue with these projects. I would contact one of the companies in the back of British car and bike mags or do a Google search and go from there. |

I have the chance to get a complete 1989 Honda CBR for free, but I don't know the details on the engine. But I thought it would be fun to put that engine into something like this. Has anyone ever seen plans or a website to do something like that? |

FK..The Tony Cart was my first. Last week, I picked up the Invader and cannot tell a great deal of difference in the handling. I guess both are good carts. Both seats are lined with felt. I will buy a rib protector though. The 9 year old's 80cc Comer is on the stand. This is enough speed for me. The shifters look fun, I just don't have the guts to go that fast! |

PeterS, I believe Tony cars are the best you can get. Congrats!!! Hope you got a padded seat. Those carbon fibre ones give you sore ribs, at least the first few times out. Also, is that your garage? Looks like you got a lot of the good accessories. That stand is invaluable. Enjoy! |

OK. I bought the 100cc Tony cart. 55MPH. I picked up an Invader with a nice exhaust that turns 60+. I am scared out of my gord at this speed (but its fun). Art, watching you in your shifter, thats just insane!!!...Thanks for your encouragement to get me into this sport. I am having the time of my life, but I don't have the ba!!s you have!
