Being a Ferrari Of Washington customer and frequent visitor of their race shop and a friend of Glen Marquis (race team manager)and several technicians (Mike Webb) means I follow the 360GT pretty closely.

Grand Am is fun to watch but not up to the level of AMLS. I want to see the 360GT in ALMS next year.

To be totally honest the FOW 360GT had little or no competition in GT class. Most of the 996 GT3's were budget funded privateers with little talent with the exception of Spencer Pumpelly, Randy Pobst and Kevin Buckler of the Racer's Group. None of these folks did more than a few races and the Mosler can't seem to last more than half a race.

It will be nice to see what Wagner and Auberlen can do against the best of ALSM.

Willis -

I was just trying to increase the posts and subsequently the views of this thread, and therefore more people aware and possibly watching both of these series in 2003! ;)

Support Ferrari Racing (in any shape and form)!!!! Just think the road cars were only built to finance the racing habits of ENZO. We could at least be proud supporters of his legacy (not just by driving his cars).

I love it, but I'm suprised nobody's mentioned the 550 that was racing in the GT category. Unfortunately, a huge crash during the Petit Le Mans certainly was a setback.

Between that car, the FoW 360 GT, the JMB 360 GT and the Rafanelli and Prodrive 550 GTS cars, it's going to make for some awesome sports car racing in 2003!

Ben, ALMS is fine. I follow it too. :-) I'm just noting that people here are not making much noise about recent Ferrari sports car successes with the exception of a handful of posters.

Does it count that I follow ALMS? Since there are 2 races near me that I can go to...without Speed at the house it's a challenge to follow any of it, maybe I'll rethink that for 2003.

I'm just surprised that nobody else is following this on this site. Ferrari's back in sport car racing and winning against heavily favored competitors. This is big and nobody gives a hoot. :-( The racing in this series has been exciting and hard faught. It's much more interesting than the F1 high speed parades of late.

2003 will see more Ferraris in the field (JMB and ,hopefully, Falcon Racing).

A big congratulation to Scuderia Ferrari of Washington for winning the team and driver's championship for GT!

Didn't win the last race of the season and looked like they just cruised to the finish. Oh well. :-)
