Interesting point Jack. If I remember correctly they told him to let Schumi pass about 3 laps prior to the end and he made a deliberate point to show who's in control. True, he could have 'slipped' a gear somewhere on the back stretch and all that noise wouldn't have happen. I think it was not realistic to ignore team orders. If memory serves me right it was also around that time when his contract renewal was up for grasps. |

I'll jump in your corner. I think the deal with Rubens is that he is such a genuinely good guy, as well as a no BS, work-a-day racer. These days, less attention is usually a good thing! Hard to believe that in all the fallout over Austria, some criticized him for not having the balls to ignore team orders. I actually think what he did took more guts. |

It's nice to see some support for Rubens on the site. the Barrichello fan site seems to have a problem so i haven't had anyone to talk to about our favorite driver. FORZA RUBENS!! |

And yet again when it really counted MS tops the times ... Rubens drove well, but this and the loose trying to hang on to MS must really hurt the confidence. Keep trying Rubens ... Pete |
