Last year Schumacher pulled in $67 Million U.S. between his $35 Million from Ferrari and endorsements. His worth over $700 Million now. He's still the highest paid athlete, don't know how long his streak is though. I think he can afford a plane at this point. |

I suppose... I for Italy. FX for the [then] upcoming Ferrari FX/F60/Enzo. RB for Reuben's ride. The Piaggio Aero link does mention that Ferrari is contracted for ~two~ P180s for company travel in Europe. Maybe the other one got I-FXMS for its registration number. |

The last part of the tail number is RB. Are you sure this isn't Ruben's ride. |

Back in June 2001, MS paid a visit to Piaggio Aero (aircraft manufacturer) in Genoa on board the Piaggio Avanti P180. Complete with SF shields on the tail! It appears that Ferrari and Piaggio have entered into an agreement for company air travel within Europe aboard Ferrari SpA's Piaggio P180. The Piaggio company is headed (chairman) by none other than Piero Ferrari. http://www.piaggioaero.com/1/ferrarilink.htm#

As far as corporate logos on aircraft go, here's the Nike Gulfstream V decked out with it's cool paint. Also, note the tail number: November 1 Kilo Echo -- it spells N1KE on the tail. Off the topic of F-cars I know, but it's a cool looking G-V. After seeing this jet, a red jet with a prancing horse on it for Schumi doesn't sound so bad... Mike

For those who are interested, here is a photo of his jet. Courtesy of JetPhotos.Net. Photo was taken at Cologne/Bonn airport. Mike

Well, there you go thinking logically, Art. We couldn't actually expect Schumacher to share a jet with common millionaires, could we? |

That should cost him about 2M per year to operate, in addition to the depreciation. If he doesn't get a write off, and he is flying less than 300 hours per year, he would be better off with a shared ownership, or fractional interest. Netjets would offer a G4 for about 10M for a 1/4 interest, and he would get about 250 hours per year useage. Given that most of his travel is in Europe with an occassional trip to Asia, he probably doesn't need anything with great range, and with a fractional ownership, for the occassional long trip, you can upgrade at a very slight additional cost. It is very unusual to see corporate logo on a plane. Planes are consiered a luxury item (although they are not), and most public companies try to keep their plane ownership quite. Schumi on the other hand, isn't a public company, and probably has no compuctions about showing off.

Actually many F1 stars use their air planes as tax write offs. Since they provide job related transportation. Aside from the propaganda that might be the reason for MS to have his logo on it. Having said all that, MS is one of the guys who least need a tax write off paying his minimal taxes in Switzerland (his taxes are based on the rent he is paying for his house, so to the Swiss his annual income is about 100k, not bad if you're pulling more like 40 Mio). Obviously guys who officially live in Monaco won't even need a plane write off. They pay no taxes basta. |

It's even better since he did not pay for it. |

There's a picture of it in last month's F1 Magazine. Funny to see his logo on it. Rare is it when you'll see an actual corporate logo on a private plane. Even in good economic times, it's not exactly good publicity. |

He has a Falcon 2000 and it is white with red stripes along the bottom and his M/S logo on the rudder. About $20 million. |

I read that he had a private jet. I was just wondering if anyone has any pictures or know what kind it is. I figure it would be red with a horse on it but that's just me figuring. I wouldn't be suprised. |
