Probably the best performance of recent memory was his drive at Hockenheim in the rain (1999?). An unbelievable race. |

does anyone remember the race last year when Rubens started last on the grid, i think he stalled on the formation lap. he passed the entire field, 20 cars, but for MS and finished second. don't forget he gets paid to finish second. he does his job very well. FORZA RUBINHO!!! |

PSK does have a point. Ruben's 03 car was clearly superior to Kimi's 02 ML, notably braking, better downforce (tighter line thru the turns) and a little power advantage at high RPM. You could see it all thru RB's camera for the 2-3 laps. The jury's out on whether it was his driving ability to pass or his high fever, but MS showed how it could be done: EASILY ! |

Plan and simple is, Ferrari needs another driver that can go out and win the championship if Schumacher is not there. Personally I don't see RB capable of doing that. Some races he's the man and some I have no idea what he's doing. Its a true shame because I am a big RB fan. Michael got by Kimi yet Rubens couldn't.

Yeah, Rubens looked HORRIBLE during the press conference. Pale, sweating. He did look sick. Considering that, he drove brilliantly, and lost 2nd in the pits. AGAIN. |

Great race. I do think RB would have finished in a better position w/o the delay in the pits. We're lucky it didn't effect MS's finish; because it could have. |

I would point out that Rubens was sick all weekend - that said he is the perfect compliment to schumi. |

Rick, No he wouldn't have been. We would have simply watch RB follow Kimi for another lap or 2. The only time RB ever passes anybody is in the pits, and that means that the team gave him the chance, not his driving! Correct me if I am wrong, but I cannot think of the last time that RB passed for position when it was important ... and not just the first corner rush???? Passing in F1 is not easy, but it is funny how MS can, and so can Alonso ... and so could Senna! All the rest just have excuses and more excuses ... Pete |

couldn't understand the long fuel stop for Rubens' last pit. guess they didn't want to chance another "fuel feed problem". had that stop been 2 sec. shorter RB would have been second for sure. FORZA! |

Did you hear Michael make a jab at Montoya at the post race interview. He commented on Montoya driving his car around after the engine was turned into a fog machine "That Montoya must have been to lazy to walk back to the pits so he just drove around the track". It was a poor move for Montoya. He had no idea if he was putting oil or coolant all over the track which could have hurt someone. My opinion of him fell a notch or two. The racing is good this year. But the stands in Austria certainly were not crowded. |

Michael is the man! Fastest lap after fastest lap. The fire didn't even faze him I'm upset Rubens couldn't get by Kimi though. |

First point: MS was brilliant again!. Anybody that AGAIN states that Barrichello is up to his level, please watch that race again ... and if you still think that then I suggest that you 'pull your head out of your arse' Yes Barrichello had a slack pit stop, but then he does nothing to attempt to rectify the problem ... ie. he just keeps lapping and his race is stuffed. MS on the other hand has a bad pit stop and then he smashes the lap record continuously to put himself back in with a chance of a win. This is the sign of a champion and a racer, and someone that does not give up. Yep if I was Jean Todt, I would make Barrichello move over every time for MS ... as he is NO where near hungry enough for the win. And he could not pass Kimi ... der!!!! ... like watching Eddie Irvine again! Again does not have the burning passion to win bad enough. No good just being fast you have to want to win soooo bad that you are prepared to risk just about everything (like a Senna and a MS). Second: Montoya, broke one of the golden rules of all levels of motorracing and drove an obviously oil leaking car back to the pits on the racing line/track. What an arsehole!. Even at club level you would have your balls pulled off for doing that!!! I cannot wait for a real race, where rain and crappy pit stops DON't ruin or affect the race. I want to see racing on the track, not Ferrari artificially slowed due to other things ... so the rest can catch up Pete

Schumacher 's coolness while his car was catching fire was incredible ..he was like " Could you guys take care of that fire quickly i have a race to win.." |

Art, it amazed me that he drove on spraying oil and cooling liquid all over the track but made it home to the pits.... Here it is rumoured that it strengthens Williams position as BMW had been complaining that they made a perfect product but that Williams kept screwing up.... OUCH! Jack |

Schumi won, Kimi second, Montoya crashed, and Rubens third. With the fire, amazing that Schumi even finished. Art |

Should be an interesting start with Schumi and Kimi on the front row. I just hope everyone makes turn 1 ok. |
