Those are three very small people, or they're seated in a 'V' kind of an angle, with the outer people's leg's facing outwards... --Dan |

I had never heard of the 3-seater. >I believe to fix that they elevated the passenger's position a bit McLaren did that too but to enhance the experience of braking / accellerating. When being level with the driver, it's just G-Force, when elevated the G-Force is bigger as you're being tossed around more. Jack |

Too bad, they missed out on a great chance to save the team (giving twice as many prospective sponsors a ride at one time) |

It was called the Fred Flintstone model and was put on a shelf after disastrous testing results. Cheers |

Actually the three seater isn't that secret. They picked up on the Minardi two seater idea, but wanted the passenger seats sideways behind the driver. The rationale was, that one of the (many) sensations you experience in a monoposto is the frightening picture of the turns flying at you. If you sit behind the driver as in the Minardi, you don't really get that as all you see is the driver's helmet (I believe to fix that they elevated the passenger's position a bit). That's why Arrows moved the passenger's seat sideways. Once you do that, you also create space for a third passenger. The car has been around for a while btw. |

Mark, Thanks for digging this up and posting it. I'd love to have some Arrows bits. Do you know when or where there will be a listing of items? |
