Yes, usually as a tie breaker. I tend to buy into the panache that F1/CART association suggests, and am happy to support the companies that help bring me the racing I love. If it makes financial sense for me of course.

No, sponsors come and go ...

Hopefully one day Ferrari will return to its correct blood red colour and once again be unique and be the only team that races in national colours and not a cigarette manufacturers crap colour ...

I ocassionally pull into a Shell station and remember the Ferrari connection. Though it is a bummer that their association with Ferrari ended the chance of Craig Breedlove to make another go at the world land speed record. (Shell held main sponsort rights, wouldn't give him anymore money since they were paying so much for Ferrari, and prevented Breedlove from selling that top billing to someone else who would. Oh well. If he wouldn't have crashed in '96 he wouldn't have needed more money in the first place, ha! At least they sponsored his shenanigans for nearly 40 years.).

I had the shell station mount some tires I had bought from tirerack.com for my daily driver '78 Fiat and the mechanics wanted to know where they could get a cool Shell Racing hat like I was wearing. It was from their sponsorship of Ducati though, not Ferrari.

Each time I'm fueling up at the cheaper station I feel guilty driving by the Shell station. Seriously. I should change that. I will, promise.

I love Red Bull, there is no other drink I know of, that does the trick and I like to 'support' Sauber-Ferrari.

I have an OMP suit for what it's worth.

It does if the sponsor makes a product that is exactly what I need. Otherwise the product has to stand on its own two feet.

No...especially because, when I went to buy replacement tires for my 550, I wanted to buy Bridgestone S-03's, theie best street performance tire. But guess what?

Bridgestone, EXCLUSIVE tire supplier to Ferrari's F1 team & huge partner, doesn't make the rear size for my car!!!

I've been shopping for parts to upgrade my computer and in the past, I've always used Intel CPUs. But AMD's logo is on the side of the FA2003-GA's rear wing, so my next CPU will be an AMD.

I bought Bridgestones for my non-F-car, but my 308 wears TRX-sized -- of all brands -- Michelins since Bridgstone doesn't make the right tire.

Do any of you make purchasing decisions based on sponsorships?
