Yep agree with everything you have stated ... and MS was very lucky to win that race. He nearly did not get out in front of his brother after the first pit stop ... in fact if his brother had not been held up a little the race would have turned to sh!t for Ferrari. Saying that MS did appear to be faster than his brother in the early stages of the race ... BUT that F2003-GA really needs some work, as does the tyres, and I wish they would forget about top speed as it means NOTHING on a race track. By the time you are travelling faster the guy infront has made his car very wide and you cannot pass. Acceleration out of a corner is everything, as is the speed through a corner. I still wonder if the F2002 with continual development would not be faster than the F2003. The back to back testing times are BS and the F2002 is still the best Ferrari that they have ever made (in modern times anyway). As I have said before a car and season like the F2002 had is wonderful, but in reality it is the peak and the next car or year can only be worse, and this has been proven. Change is required because the technical team has peaked and now new ideas are required ... the F2003 is just a tidied up F2002 and they have wasted their time on straight line speed BECAUSE they have run out of ideas (ie. they are stale) ... F1 is not Indy oval racing or NASCAR, corners are everything. Pete ps: Thank God MS can still drive ... |

I think that since mid season last year , Bridgestone hasnt improved as much as Michelin and that today the french tires are clearly superior to the Japanese one. They deteriorate much quicker , they dont like changing temperatures and it seems they are happy with what they offer !!! I hope they wil lchange because luck wont always be on our side . The F2003 really wasnt superior to the Williams in Montreal , a car said to be a failure .....
