Andreas, I have a plan! I will be able to meet you at Goodwood on Sunday. I will e-mail my cell phone number to you in the morning and we'll make some arrangements. Rachael spoke to Tom Kristenson yesterday because we thought he'd be able to get your autographs. He isn't going to Goodwood so we'll have to go back to plan A! |

Jack, go to http://www.sniffpetrol.com and you'll see it there. Have a look at the archive as they have some really funny stuff there! On the subject of my least favourite driver, this is how Mike Lawrence (English journalist) rated his performance at the European GP: "I don't care how anyone analyses Coulthard's excursion as he tried to overtake Alonso, DC's performance was pathetic. The guy simply does not know how to overtake. Fernando had a problem, that was clear. David should have held back and then rushed him, that is the way you overtake. You hold back, then take a corner a lot faster than your opponent, you come out of the corner that much faster and the rest is history. I learned that in karting more than forty years ago. The square-jawed Scotchman has yet to learn it. Coulthard should have been by Alonso ten laps before his disastrous move. That the guy cannot overtake we saw at Monaco a couple of years back when he was stuck behind Enrique Bernoldi (remember him?) in an Arrows (remember Arrows?) Coulthard was simply not bright enough to work out how to get by Bernoldi. David clearly has many attributes, otherwise he would not have won 13 Grands Prix (14 if you count the Australian GP he gifted to Mika Hᄂkkinen) but he cannot be the sharpest tool in the box if he spent such a long time before he even attempted to overtake Alonso in a car which had problems. I cannot wait to hear DC's assertion that he is tuned to perfection to storm the World Championship in 2004. I think I am right in believing that Coulthard is the only driver to have spun away pole position on the warm-up lap (Italy, 1995) and who has come into the pit-lane in the lead and then hit a wall (Australia, 1995). At the time, Ferrari was squabbling with McLaren over his services. I wonder how much history would have been different had Ferrari signed Coulthard for 1996. I will be right behind you, David, when you get round to telling us how wonderful 2004 is going to be. I wonder why Michael Schumacher does not come out with such a stirring statement of intent before every season." |

On an almost related note: Came across Broadgate in downtown London today and in the middle of the pedestrian area was Kimi's Mc Laren. Hugo Boss had a fashion show there. That's the nice part about the UK: F1 everywhere you look. Also interesting, that in the heart of the UK, they show off Kimi's car. Not DC's. Hm... Snatched some pictures, but will take a while to get them processed. |

Absolutely hilarious! I wish all Brits would feel that way and stop complaining about poor DC who now has to support Kimi. How unfair.... Nice to see, we're in the same timezone, hehe. |

Actually, you can't dump on Ozzy as being the "arse hole", or "**** head". He's a good guy, as well as very creative, but his wife is a controlling, ruthless taskmaster of a b***h. Ask anyone who has ever done business with her. She's the Martha Stewart of Rock and Roll. While I dislike DC as a driver, I greatly admire how loyally the British support their drivers. I'd love to see Button's career continue upward. That way, we could quit pretending that every year is going to be DC's year. |

BTW guys, it is interesting to see what the Brits think of DC. They still totally admire this looser and think of him as the poor guy who is constantly being cheated out of the title. |

To go with Maranelloman's JPM/Jeff Gordon quotes, here's one they printed by Coulthard after meeting Ozzy Osbourne in Montreal: "He shook my hand and gave it 'Rock and Roll!' I had no response. What do you say to that? He was like that movie 'Return of the Living Dead'. I do not want a pint of what he's had to drink! Unbelievable! Jesus." DC's so used to being spoon-fed brain dead supermodels who only care about his money that he doesn't know how to act around someone with a personality who's richer and more famous than him. |
