If the marshall's neutral switch does not function the teams may be fined unless they can give good reason why it did not. The system from how i understand it uses compressed air to force the selector drum in the transmission to rotate to its neutral setting |

Yes it is. They're not as necessary as they used to be since most tracks have enormous cranes that can reach nearly every corner. But there are times when the crews have to roll the cars, and that tells them where the neutral switch is. In days gone by, you used to see a triangular sticker with a lightning bolt on it, which indicated where the electrical kill switch was. |

After getting a closer, I still think it looks like a sticker. Look at the picture, it's just ahead of the steering wheel to the driver's right. From my view, it looks like an "N", from Schuey's it looks like a "Z." Is it really the neutral switch? |

It's not only for the drivers; it's also there for the track marshalls to access. |

Interesting. Why on the hood and not on the steering wheel? |

what that circular sticker is on the hood of Rubens and Michael's cars. Red Z or N encompassed in a circle. I believe it's also found on Jenson Button's car and Webber's. Anyone know what that is? |
