That just seems like a ridiculous thing to say. What could be better than starting from pole on the clean side of the track? |

Anyone else think that JPM purposely lifted off in the last intermediate lap so he won't get pole, especially after being faster in the first two intermediates? Knowing that Ferrari's LC is inferior to his? I think the Schumacher chop will happen today, don't be surprised if JPM is faster off the line. At least the Renaults won't be in their way. |

This should be a great race. Since COMCAST in my area has thought it right to give us speedvision, I'll have to get the resuls on line. Art |

Ralph had that horrible 200+ crash during the Monza tests. Totalled the car and was unhurt, but suffered a serious concussion and the docs recommended against him driving. Same situation as with Ralph Firman, whose replacement Baumgartner will still stand in at this race. I don't know much about medicine, but I think I heard somewhere, that after serious concussion like this, you should not race for up to half a year to make sure it won't happen again or you might suffer permanent brain damage. So maybe Ralf's and Ralph's seasons are already over? Or maybe Ralf didn't want to help his arch rival beat his own brother. |

I don't think Schumacher will be able to keep the lead at the start because of their launch control. It is great to see the red cars back up front, lets hope they can finish up there. Why is Ralf not driving? I heard his lap was disqualified because he cut through the grass. Is he protesting the call? |

Can't wait till tomorrow. Very exciting! Finally Ferrari got their act together and MS found his motivation again (which promptly put Rubens back where he belongs, behind MS). It will be interesting to see whether the momentum carries through and how the Ferraris will do at the start. Did they improve their launch control? Are they still as heavy to higher fuel loads? JPM might just rocket off and Kimi might try to do something wild. Impressed by Ralf's bold decision not to race and bascially throwing in the towel for his aspirations. Equally impressed by Gene's performance. Never thought much of the guy, but this was one class act. But the bottom line is: Ferrari is at least back in the game. Michael, keep the dream alive! PS: Did you hear, that Villeneuve might even get the boot before the end of the season? Honda would like to use Sato for the last race. How demoralizing for an ex champ. |
