Let me dig around these piles.

I know I have seen a "full frontal" of Walker somewhere amongst them.

Hmmmmm. Well, if that picture was taken in July 1967, then Rob Walker was 50 years old, and I don't think the man in the blue shirt is anywhere near 50 years old (I should know, I'm 51). It LOOKS like Walker and Siffert, but I doubt it, unless it was taken years earlier. I'll see if I can dig up the old "Autosport".

Grand Prix of Britain, 1962, Aintree.

Phil Hill's 156 Sharknose behind the pits with a nice dent in the left side of the nose (I hope it is visible).

Hill can be seen approximately in the middle of the picture (brown sweater) talking to (whom I assume to be) Masten Gregory (with the spectacles) while Innes Ireland (with the funny hat) is listening.

Is the guy that is staring into the cockpit Stirling Moss? I'm not entirely sure...

Hi Jeff,

I also have pictures of the A. Rees Cooper- Maserati which indeed has high mounted exhausts and I had been staring at these picture because I also noted the difference.

However, it is Siffert and it is Walker and Siffert DID race the Cooper Maserati and that car was the only one entered by Rob Walker in that race.

I tried to find actual pictures of Sifferts car in that race so that I could campare but no luck.

I'm open to any suggestions of course but I can't imagine Siffert working on somebody else's car while Walker looks on.

Best,
Jack

P.S. Also some interesting pictures from non-championship race in those years with more Ferrari content than these.

I'll wear out a scanner... I promise! :-D

Jack: As usual, interesting pictures! But after looking through some other material, I doubt that the car is a Cooper-Maserati from 1967 (exhaust should be high-mounted). Other opinions?

Great Photos!

Can you imagine Shumacher with a gear-box in his hands?

But then again, I can't imagine Siffert with 6 driving titles.

Thanks for sharing.

I bought several stacks of vintage racing photo's and there are couple that I would like to share with you (although hardly, if any, Ferrari content).

Two amazing shots, taken during practice days for the 1967 British Grand Prix...

RIGHT!

The guy in the brown shirt is Jo Siffert, Grand Prix driver who would compete in 100 GP's and rake up 2 wins in the process... changing the gears of his Cooper Maserati on the concrete behind the pits of Silverstone on a rag!

The guy on the left in the second picture (blue shirt) is team owner, Rob Walker.

We've come a long way in GP Racing!

Jack
