Jack, I guess you'll have to come over to my place and give me a challenge on GP4 or slot cars.

This is a rough stretch for me as well. The Bears suck, as does basketball. Hockey doesn't do it for me, and Trading Spaces is getting a little played out. Last winter I started to really get into the Aussie TinTop Series. Great racing on some pretty cool tracks.

I too am in good company!! I call the off-season "The Dark Months". Watching the last race of the season is always sort of bitter-sweet. To kill the time I have recently begun reading Steve Matchett's two books. I will probably finish them in a day or so (they seem to go quick). After that, I will just have to survive on back issues of F1 Magazine and watching old taped races...

March cant come soon enough

Darrell, gotta admit, your comments were good for a nice morning chuckle! Well said. Ferrari & football are real life, the other things are just sports....

So here I am in Portland Maine, and everyone in my company is depressed and suicidal. Not because F1 season is over but because the Boston Redsox lost once again to the Evil Yankees. Meanwhile I'm sitting in my office with my "Exhaust Notes F1 Sounds" CD playing in the background and thinking about the great win by Team Ferrari in Japan. I only wish my employees would get a life and not get so hung up on mindless sports.

Good one Anthony. You might want to replace F1 with Ferrari...

They say that the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem. To paraphrase David Lee Roth:
"I used to have a problem with my F1 consumption, but now I can afford it!" :-)

Bart, glad you mentioned GP 4.0. I finally got it last week and will put together a DVD out of those numerous CDs. Then we can reactivate the "For the Simmers amongst you thread".

Oh yeah, waiting for the next grandprix is really bad. But then again, silly season has begun, so now it's waiting for who goes to who. Driver swaps, sponsor swaps etc.

And luckily I got the Funny Grand Prix 4.0, with over 200 circuits to test drive, so I'll fill my spare F1 time with simming :-)

Rikky, it got a bit quiet for a moment there as we were all busy with other stuff, but now that the season is over, we have time again.

The older F1 races project is the next thing on my plate. If you're interested, send me an email and we'll take it from there.

Andreas,

Is there anything still in the works for DVD's/tapes of season reviews/individual races? What happened to all of that. I know that I would like to get some different tapes and (of course) would pay for this. I started watching F1 last year so I have missed a lot!

I can see I'm amongst friends here.

I've been going through this cold turkey hell annually for the last twenty years and there is no cure. Go to some local racing if there is any but really it's best to try and forget about it all for a while. Of course that's pretty much impossible because first we'll have the driver line ups announced, then it's the new cars being revealed and then of course testing...

I suppose it's a good time to spend some 'quality time' with the other half to make up for all those sunny summer afternoons when you wouldn't leave the house!

Hey fellow F1 aholics:
I have a question regarding F1 season reviews on DVD; I have only seen the 2000 season review on DVD; 2001, 2002 on video. Where can I get 2001, 2002 (& 2003!) on DVD?? It's a long winter so I would like to update my collection. Thanks.

LOL, glad I'm not the only one still checking the Formula 1 start page every few hours...

Just a reflex, with careful attention to the 12 steps, I'll get it under control until 145 days is up..

Hi Bob, I'm Andreas and a F1 aholic.

As mentioned before, here is what keeps me going for those remaining 145 days:
- organize my F1 video tapes
- finish the F1 championship on my home sim
- build a slot car racetrack

By the time I'm done with all this, the lights will go out in Melbourne (from red that is).
:-)

PS: There is no cure. You can only comfort the patient.

Just wondering if there is a 12 step program for all of us F1 Aholics??? I think i just realised that i am one after i told my boss today that 145 more days and BMW will get there chance again..

Gee 145 Days till the next race i cannot hardly wait..

Standing up in a crowded room saying "Hi! I am Rob, and I am a F1 Aholic.."

Who is going to join myself at the next meeting?
