Oh, my... as you stated, "No idea which race or which cars but a very nice shot" has so many meanings behind it - an era's race cars jostling for position, no doubt with others just out of range. A crowd of people wondering what the possibilities are for the outcome of the race, and for the future... To that end, there's several figures in the photo which make we wonder what was said and done after the race that could have impacted us, without our realizing it. |

And a second one right away... 1912 Georges Deydier on Cottin Desgouttes after he had won the 7th category for race cars during the 1912 Limonest Hillclimb.

I was digging through my collection to put some new-old stuff in our stores and I came across some EXTREMELY old racing photos. These are old prints so NOT new prints from old negatives or, even worse, digital prints of old prints. These are OLD! I'll share of of these with you here (if there is any interest at least). I'll list any comments that I have on the photo's (where, when & who etc.) but, as always, am open to other views so let me hear it when you think it's something else than what I wrote. Rob, if you feel that this should be in the vintage section or collectors section, feel free to move it there, I choose racing fans as there are racing pics. Jack Indianapolis 1915. No idea which race or which cars but a very nice shot, IMHO.
