what really sucked was that when Hill won after monza and von tripps' death, the Commadore pulled the team from the usgp at watkins glen and denied Hill the opportunity to drive in front of an american crowd. |

Stephen, In 1952 and 53 there was no F1, F2 was the top, thus Ascari was WC ... er, that is how I read it anyway. I think the WC started in 1948 or 49 with Alfa Romeo winning the first few. Pete |

Actually, Ascari was F2 World Champion as F1 wasn't run in 1952, 1953. |

It was originally going to be called the 550 GTO Maranello by prodrive, but I assume it either didn't fit the description or Ferrari ordered them not to use that name. So on the pit walls, it has the 550 GTS Maranello name instead, which is more fitting since it races in the GTS class at Le Mans and ALMS. |

Jeff, Oops that is who I forgot ... knew somebody was missing but could not remember!!! The reluctant WC ... Phil Hill. Real shame that his WC is tarnished with Von Trips death ... which ofcourse has nothing to do with Phil Hill, other than Von Trips was in with a chance at WC ... Pete |

1. Ascari, Fangio, Hawthorn, Surtees, Lauda, Sheckter. Possibly somebody missing here as Ferrari have won 13 drivers WC. 2. Assume 550 4. 2 x Ascari, 1 x Hawthorn, 1 x Fangio, 1 x Surtees, 2 x Lauda, 1 x Sheckter, 4 x Schumacher ... Oops that is the drivers Championship. Start again for contructors: 13. Pete |

Hi, I have 3 questions about Ferrari and racing. I'm not in racing so much so I don't know the answers, maybe you could help me: 1. Name exept for Shumacher 3 other drivers who became world champion F1 with Ferrari. 2. In what model Ferrari did Peter Kox win the LM-GTS class in Le Mans in 2003? 3. How many times became the Ferrari F1 team world champion constructors? Thanks |
