Pete; That rendering was done on Autocad 2004 and 2002. I have 2004 at home and the college uses 2002. The main diference is the size of the files 2004 format 5MB, 2002 format 9MB. Andreas; I currently have about 45 hours up to that point and will put about another 4 more doing touchups and adding details before i turn it in on monday. Now you know why i have not been as active on F-Chat as of late. I started the drawing the tuesday before Indy. Rob Guess "The Other Rob" |

Heh, Rob and Alice, I'm very impressed. Rob I used to work with AutoCad ... a while ago so I guess that the 3D capabilities have moved forward a fair bit, but I could never have produced that rendering. What version are they upto now? Pete |

Dang!!!! I think i just met my competition for replacing Ross Brawn at Ferrari...Here is my submission not nearly as good as Alice's Design
Just think i have spent over 45 hours working on that and i dont even have a wind tunnel model made yet... HMMM I Guess it is time to switch to becoming a Chef..... The picture is a rendering of my 3D Autocad project that is due next week. Rob Guess "The Other Rob" |

Boy, was I backwards! I just assumed they returned to running the exhausts out the back. So then that would be some sort of windshield in front rather than an unorthodox air brake. |

Oh ok.... the back is tapered. I thought the front was actually the back and that the headlights were some sort of new jet propulsion device. Williams could employ this new technology to gain an edge over Ferrari since the wider tire issue didnt pan out for them. |

Extensive use of "carton-fiber". Brilliant! |

Thomas That's a very trick airbrake/spoiler. On braking it lifts up in front. As downforce is needed it lifts at the rear. Forza Daughters (and Sons)! |

Jack, it's not a Sharknose. That's the back! I'll have to send my daughter over to give you some car design lessons!

Awesome! It's cool to see they've gone back to the "sharknose" design. Vodafone must have bucked up more money. |

I have a confession. Alice isn't actually employed by Ferrari at all. This model is made from a breakfast cereal box and hasn't actually been tested in a wind tunnel. Sorry if you were getting excited! I still think it would be a good idea to keep these pictures from Max Mosley though, just in case he gets any ideas! |

As long as you get your sponsor's name right, the $$$ will continue to come in and with additional Vodafone dollars further development is just around the corner. Those wood tires nicely match the adhesiveness of Bridgestones in the dry...

I have managed to get these exclusive shots of the F2004. I should point out that this is a scale model and not a full size car. I think you'll agree that it is a pretty radical design!
I also have some shots of the car with the designer/builder, Alice Currie aged 6.
By the way, the reason for the wierd clothes is that she had just returned from a halloween party at school! |
