I can't wait to see the Sauber's running next year! They have 2 very talented drivers with Fisichella and Massa. Oh yeah!....I hope Fisichella will end up with Ferrari the year after because I truly believe this guy will be a future world champion. |

I dont think Fisi will end up there - maybe as a 2nd driver when Rubio has to go and no one else wants to take backseat? --Dan |

I've always liked Fisi, and would love to see him in a Ferrari. Unfortunately, I'm afraid this is as close as he'll get. |

Actually Sauber will be using its own chassis for next season. However for the first time ever they'll be using not only Ferrari's engines, but also the Ferrari tranny. |

Fisi hopes to drive for ferrari. Sauber (by connection with ferrari) is percieved as the ferrari feeder team, as not only will the get the newer engines now, but may alos begin buying chassis' (if the new regulations allow outsourced chassis'). |

Oh did not know that. That really sucks and must be disheartening. The way the cards fall is so very important. Chris Amon kept playing them wrong and yet Enzo rated him as one of the best drivers he has ever had. Pete |

Pete, Partly because he was tied into a long contract with Benetton courtesy of Mr Briatore which coincided with Benetton's worst stretch of cars. Once he was free of that contract he bolted, Benetton sign Mike Gascoyne and start producing good cars again. Typical! it would have been nice to see him next to Alonso this year. It must be gutting to watch all your hard work pay off for someone else. Best Mark |

So Mark why is he still driving crap? Fisi has been around for a long time and never made it to the big 3. Me thinks if Ron, Frank and Ferrari aren't interested there must be a good reason. As for winning that race this year ... er, now that was lucky, and I guess he deserved it because he was in the right place at the right time which many others weren't. Maybe if the Saubers are okay this year he can finally show me what 'you' see in him. Pete |

Pete, Fisichella, mediocre, you have got to be kidding! He's one of the best drivers out there despite having to drive pretty crap cars year after year (he even won a race for Jordan this year). In fact I dont think he's been out paced by a team mate yet. R Schumacher, Wurz, Button, Sato etc. Signing him is definately a good move by Peter Sauber. Best Mark |

Actually Peter Sauber was over the moon with getting Fisico. He always wanted him and now finally got the chance. Massa has (hopefully) learned a few things as Ferrari's test driver. If you look at the blunders Frentzen/Heidfeld made this year, you can't really say the new pair is worse. Probably slightly better. I'm no big fan of either, but first the Sauber car has to improve. So all in all a fair match I would say. PS: Not to steal Jim's thunder, but this has been announced a long time ago. Not officially, but it was clear for several months. I remember back in June when my friend bought a Fisico replica helmet I told him, that we'll get it signed in Hinwil, Switzerland next year (my childhood home was the village next to where Sauber's factory is today). |

Well, I don't get it myself. How come Fisichella and other mediocre drivers like him keep getting drives. Same goes for Massa, except he is young and they may see something that I definitely cannot see ... he is as eratic and out of control as Verstapin. Oh well another dud year coming up for Sauber. Sauber Formula 1 team has officially confirmed that Felipe Massa will return next year after a year "off" as a Ferrari test driver. He has signed a two-year contract with the Swiss team. The 22-year-old Brazilian will partner Giancarlo Fisichella in the squad's lineup. |
