That's a great idea, but I bet Bernie has other plans. In any event, a good ole car show will always get my attention (even though I'm also a boater). |

Why is it that the live F1 broadcasts are almost always followed by boat racing... often replays of boat races from last year? Do F1 fans really love boat racing? Or are SPEED channel's program directors idiots? I am sure there are plenty of people that cannot wait to see an old boat race again; but it seems that right after a one-hour broadcast of F1, a broadcast of an old F1 race would make more sense. If I was the SPEED program director, I'd follow each F1 broadcast with that race from a previous year... that would keep your F1 fans watching... and may even strengthen their fanaticism (bringing them in touch with the history). With a bit of editing and commentating, you could craft an hour (or two) show showing all of the excitement during the week, from practices through qualifying, and then the race... highlighting the personalities, tension, etc. Running through a replay season during a season and you'd get people as hooked on the replay show as they get on this year's season. But pretty much any car race, car documentary, etc., would seem more appropriate than boat racing. Just me?
