I hate to admit it, especially since I hate ABC sports, but their Canadian GP coverage was great. Their commentators are much easier to listen to than the latest bunch on Speed. The camera shots were great. I loved it when Danny called him Juan Montoya without the Pablo part. That alone was worth paying for. As always, Schumi drove a spectacular race. A few more like this and he can let RB win a few. |

just in from Montreal long drive home 600 miles. wont get to see the broadcast of the race as the vcr didnt tape but seeing it live was much more fun. sat in grandstand 24 good seats at the hairpin biggest suprise was seeing and hearing John Giordano's 512S running laps. Very happy to see Washington Ferrari# 99 run so well Allie Ash was smokin till he had his shunt. looking forward to seeing them run again at Indy. saw lots of new cars all over town there a yellow spider parked outside Dinos on st. Catherine sat nite. a black tr and a red 308 and a red 360 on st laurent sunday nite. and a red 348 contvert parked behind the Jaguar stage on sat nite were they any of our peeps rides. looked for some of you at the beer garden by the subway entrance but no one looked familiar. and for all you shoe fans out there i saw only like five other pairs. many people asked about them in canada they cost 200 i guess people couldn't believe someone would be goofy enough to spend that much for shoes. but they were good for a laugh. i'll get my photos back soon if anything looks good i'll try to post them. oh yeah micheal won and that darn Coulthard got in Rubens way. but two red suits on the podium always looks great!!! |

Ben is right - like Monaco the Canadian race was channel 1 of the european pay per view feed. So there's hope we'll get to see this excellent coverage twice more this year. If ABC (or Red Bull) wants to foot the bill for this then I'll watch ABC over Speed & the worldfeed anytime. |

The best would be the "Bernie Feed" with the Speed announcers. The camera shots are much better. |

If I'm not mistaken (and I very well could be), ABC is/was getting the Pay Per View version, which is PPV in many places in the world (the USA doesn't have enough fans who would pay). Speed gets the "world feed" which is different from the PPV, obiviously this coverage is a bit watered down. IIRC next weeks Speed replay would be the world feed. Then again I could be completely wrong. |

I must admit I was a little concerned when I learned that ABC would cover Monaco, Mortreal, Monza and Indy. However, I thought ABC did a good job covering the Montreal race. The camera angles, especially the in car shots seem better than Speed. I wonder if they are getting a different feed (Bernie Feed). I loved the in car shot of Rubens waving his "no-no" finger at Coulthard when he closed the door and they both went through the grass. |

Great race and I prefer the ABC coverage, if there is coverage, to that of Speed. Glad Mike won, was a good day for the Fteam |

It's already Monday and this is the first post on the race? Must have been a lot of partying last night. Why couldn't the marshalls attach a chain to the BAR and drag it (wheels locked and all) the 30 or so feet to the safe area behind the car? I wonder if BAR got fined for not having a functional neutral system. I'm glad Michael won, but I don't think there is consistency with the use of safety cars. |
