Rob -- I agree the swap was probably unintentionally (but it shouldn't have been) -- still, I like the result! |

Steve, I agree with the legacy Michaels move has created now and it's positive. However, he's happy with the result now, but it wasn't his intention. He even stated the next day he was trying for a dead heat and you could tell he was surprised Rubens pulled a little ahead and got the win. That was dumb on Michaels part to think you could dead heat a timing system that goes to the thousandths of a second. |

MS has done it, but about being the best is highly debateable! Rubens is every bit as good, he has proved it time and time agian, when allowed to! There are others out there that may well be as good given the same equipment/team and support. MS is undoubtedly a great driver, but his 'situation' is a major part of this success |

Debt paid in full -- no asteriks required (or you'll need 2 )! Bravo Michael! |

Unfortunately, with Schumacher's image being what it is, his detractors would only cry louder over something like that as being a weak attempt to look human and win people over. No matter what the guy does, some people insist on dumping on him. |

It's such a shame that Barrichello's pit stop at the German GP dropped him out of what would have been 2nd (with Ralf's late problem) -- if M. Schumacher and Barrichello were 1-2 at the end do you think that Michael would have pulled over to even the record? IMO it would be a class move that would add so much more to Michael's legacy than just another win (or even the single season win record) -- I hope he gets the chance sometime. |

not exactly TomD had Rubens finished 2nd he potentialy could have held the WDC up until GGP or hungary. didn't you wonder why Rubens car was left on the jack at the start. "team orders"? |

Michael stated that he would ideally prefer to clinch the championship 2 weeks later, in Hockenheim. However, I seriously doubt he'll fudge with the opportunity to do it sooner. |

If I did my calcs correctly if Ferrari has another Schumacher /Barrichello 1-2. Schumi will have eliminated all competitors besides Barrichello for the championship. does that effectively mean he won the championship and therefore they celebrate or do they wait another race. should be interesting - other teams wish they had such problems |
