...That's really cool, but don't you have it backwards? I thought you were supposed to SELL your F-car when the youngster arrived - not get your 1st one!...

The wife actually encouraged it. She says I never buy myself anything - and I had to buy her an Expedition (see background of the picture) before I got my F car. Small detail.

Ah, sooo sexy. I can only imagine the hell you must have felt turning the key to realize a dead battery. Glad to hear everything turned out well. Good luck with her,

Scott... beautiful car. I've always admired the lines of the TR... maybe that's why I ended up with a "baby TR" (348)... hehe... Congrats... enjoy it!

Its been a long day! Car arrived at 7 AM with a dead battery. After a trip to the local Goodyear dealer to get a $120 battery, the TR was fired up at 9 AM - sweet sound. I'll post more picture tomorrow...Upload

Scott you should join us on the ortega run on February 23rd. About 40 Ferraris should be there and I know that myself, byron and Matt Lemus will be there at the least.

haha... no sleep for you! It doesn't matter if you sleep anyhow - in the event you DO fall asleep...you will probably wake up at 5am in a frenzy, thinking you overslept!

By the way, you can probably expect a bit of delay from the driver's ETA... the driver may not have taken in account additional time at the scales or possible morning traffic... I was expecting delivery for my car at 9am, but he didn't arrive until 12:30pm... talk about a VERY LONG 3 1/2 HOURS!!! :-) anyways, just thought I'd share with you my experience.

Being I'm in the desert area and there is not a authorized dealer here, does anyone have a suggestion for a reputable repair facility (with reasonable prices)? The closer to Palm Springs, the better.

I've talked with Gary Bobbileff (Bobbileff Motors) in San Diego when searching for a TR to purchase - does anyone have any comments on his shop?

I got a bass player friend at USC right now...Im thinking about going there myself for the Early Music department. My friend said the music schools is EXTREMELY competive, so i may not like it :-) Im more of a small school guy :-)

Although it seems that almost everybody here went to USC and has an F-car...hm...maybe I should go there after all!

Scott, congratulations!
I know EXACTLY what you are going through... when I had my car shipped from Miami, I was tracking it via GPS on a daily basis. The few hours just before it arrives is the worst, but it'll be well worth the wait!
That's great...now we have more local So Cal Ferraristi - the list is growing by the minute!

I finally did it. Wired the money yesterday and bought my first Ferrari ('90 Testarossa - Red/Tan). The car has been loaded on the truck and its on the way to California. I'm so excited I think that I'll explode before it gets here in 5-7 days.

Any drives planned in the Palm Springs area?
