Coop - my car handled nicely up the mountain. I was able to make it up pretty much in one gear - however, my only complaint was that I noticed my water temp rising pretty quickly. In a situation like that, other than turning on the heater, how can I keep the car running a bit cooler? Are there water wetters that we can use on these cars? Other than that, I paced another NSX that was very fast (we left most of the group behind, but that's another story) The rear-end came loose on me once or twice, but that may have just been me going into the turn a bit hot - I think the car sticks well with no serious oversteer issues. Ron - I'm not sure which way to advise you, but for both sound and peformance, I have heard nothing but good things for the tubi-style exhausts. However, I'm pretty sure that if they are both stainless steel cat back systems, you will not see that much of a performance difference. One might be more "bang for the buck" while the other might just be "bang but pricey" B. |

Byron, I have not decided yet. Here is a link to the post where I asked for input. http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/21/195617.html?1043127263 they also sell Tubis and I think the one for my car would be $2900 and here is a link to Ferrari Parts Exchange where the price for the set to fit my car the 3220 is $1735 http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/exhaust_ansa.htm I am starting to think though that I will just get the system for the Mondial and not hassle with trying to resell. I would appreciate anyone's advice. thanks |

Ok.. you asked for them... A bunch of us met up in the morning in Irvine...
Then we drove down to meet the rest of the group at the Denny's off the 74 Hwy exit (there were about 16-17 NSX's at this point)
We took the 74Hwy to Lake Elsinore, then headed down the 15 toward Palomar Mtn. A few of us took a detour and met up with the rest of the group at the top of the mtn.
At the top of the mtn...
(Had to let that engine cool down... it was a wild run uphill!)
On the way down, a few nice shots...
Our drive ended at Hoehn Acura in Carlsbad, where lunch was provided by the dealership. Being showcased was the 2003 NSX.
All in all, a very fun drive. The group was very welcoming and no mishaps ocurred all day. Had a blast! Can't wait til the 2/23 Ortega Run! -Byron |

Hey everyone... related to the ortega run on the 23rd.. I went on an Ortega Run with the NSXCA group yesterday. The drive took us through 74 Hwy to Lake Elsinore, then to Palomar Mtn... and eventually culminated in Carlsbad at Hoehn Acura dealership. It was a great time with lots of nice cars... I was the only FCar driving with some 20+ NSX's, but they were all very welcoming. I have lots of interesting pictures...and nice video footage. I can post some here, but seeing how it's not really Ferrari-related, I thought I'd just see if anyone was interested, first. Anyways... a bunch of them are interested in joining our group for the Dromo1 grand prix event, so that will be a good time, too! |
