Alright guys. Sorry that I have been bad about not updating this. 3-22 is no longer looking good for me- I have to go to Vegas, that night.
I am working on a restaurant dance club in the south bay, that will hopefuly get us preferential parking right in front. We will still do it in March I am thinking that 3-28 or 3-29 will be better.
I will keep everyone posted

I was waiting to here from some more people, but its looking that 3-22 is a better date.
As for location, I am going to begin scouting and talking to restaurants this weekend.

Amen to that.. I second JL's advice there - take your time...there will be plenty of time for you later in life to party it up. School first!! (Trust me, you will thank us later for this, while driving your first ferrari!)

JL - think of a date and location.

But JL, being "comfortable" is how I get my dates :-) Actually I can only think of one girl that might like to go. Dont know if she likes me or not though...Ahh the problems of a high school student :-)

All kidding aside, I probably can't join you guys for sure. I dont know what my schedule is going to be for then and with my luck I will have concerts on both nights. If you guys don't mind me comming though, Ill see what I can do :-)

Jordan- Your in High School right. If when I was in High School I came up to a girl and told her " Would you like to accompany myself and a bunch of Ferrar's for a night on the town" She would be telling her friends like crazy, next thing you know you would have a choice of girls to take.
About the suit- Come as you are most comfortable.

No tuxes? I'm out.

Just kidding. Those that are going up from OC can caravan with me - no problem. 3/22 or 3/29 both sound fine at this point.

Sounds like fun. I think Mar 22 would be my preference because I have already signed up for the Sunday morning Go-Kart in Riverside on the 30th.

BTW, no one has posted anything to the thread I started on this subject. I think that would be a great cap to our Karting experience, Mar 8th inside at the Dromo and March 30th outside in Riverside. Think of the great caravan we could do to Riverside.

Alright guys- We are planning an elegant night on the town FERRARI STYLE.
I want everyone to be able to participate.

It will be in the West Los Angeles area.
It will be a couple event

Wives or Husbands, Girl friends or Boy friends, Dates, Mistresses, and even One Night Stands, are all welcome. LOL

I would like this to be an elegant affair-
Suits- Not tuxes (Sorry Byron)

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT EVENING IS BETTER- March 22nd or March 29th (Both Saturdays). Please reply on this post and we will choose a date, that works for everyone.
Details will follow but here is a brief itinerary.

Those in the Valley can all meet @Matt Lemus and have a fun drive down. (Sorry for nominating you MATT).
Those in Orange County can all meet @Byrons House and drive up. (Sorry for Nominating you Byron)

I propose to meet around 7pm-WLA. Do a local drive Beverly Hills Streets- Have dinner at about 8pm and then do some old fashion cruising.

We will go to a restaurant that will have ample secure and self parking for everyone.

Please let me know what your wishes, desires, &recomendations are- we want to make this a special night for everyone including our ladies. (both vehicles and dates).
JLM

Why don't we do something like a cheescake factory, or a PF. Changs, or a chart House but maybe not as commercial-they always have big parking lots were we could put all of our cars next together. I think it would look so cool

Alright Guys, I have an idea for a March drive.
Why don't we choose a nice restaurant and do an evening drive. Lets take the Ladies (F-cars) and the girlfirends, wives, dates, or friends for a night on the town. We can cruise around town a little bit and then enjoy a nice meal. All of our encounters have been day time drives or races. I propose everybody gets dressed up, we go to a very good restaurant, nothing too-too expensive, and just have a wonderfull meal chatting. We can either do it in Orange County, The South Bay, The West Side, or the Valley. I think it would be all great- imagine- 10 Ferrari's parked in front of a restaurant and all the daper men exiting their Ferrari's.

That is not much time to do any organization of a charity drive. Have you contacted a charity yet? Something like this would need their sponsorship/approval and would need publicity and unfortunately a lot of time and effort to organize.

Plus there are liability issues that any charity would need to consider. With a bunch of cars driving around associated in some way with a legitimate organization they would want to talk about insurance and a host of other issues.

Then there is the primary issue of how to atually raise money.

I don't mean to be a pessimist but I have been associated with charity fund raisers in the past and some of them begin the next week after the current year's event because the effort needed is so great.

A charity event in March sounds excellent!

The March 8th event is all set up. I spoke to the event organizer today. I will send out an email to the So Cal list in the next few days... Hopefully we can get at least 20 people or I'm out $1300.

Matt - do you want to check with Martin to see if he can make our carting event as well?

I'm thinking that we can do the POC event on the 1st, Karting on the 8th, and charity / drive event on the 16th? Any thoughts?

How about we set up a charity event of some kind. I know that Someone (Matt?)was talking about organizing something with the kids? Or how about a picnic Where we all drive somewhere and then have some sandwiches either on grass or sand?
