Byron I can not believe you haven't posted pictures of your completed spoiler. This is not a plug for the body shop that did the work (or maybe I just did) but it looked like they did an excellent job.

The car is in the shop. The spoiler will be done by Friday. Can't wait!!

Change of plans - I won't be entering it into the car show, which means I'll have it for Dromo1.

We can still go to the show, though... should be pretty eye-catching...;)

Ok, the latest update:

I'm going to get it fixed by BodyPros in Garden Grove... in exchange for them helping me out, I promised I would let them showcase my car in their booth at the upcoming import car show in LA: Import Extreme Showoff....

http://www.importxs.com

So it looks like my car will be on display at the show on the 8th. If anyone wants to go to the show and is going to the Dromo1 event, I am trying to get some discount tickets.

Fixing it... haven't figured when and where just yet - have talked to a few ppl about it though. I will most likely leave it as is for the Ortega and POC event.... then fix it afterwards. I may be entering my car in an import car show on the weekend of the 8th, but that is not for sure as of yet.

That bumper assembly on ebay actually looks a bit like mine... only in red/blk. I may give the guy a call to see if there is something we can work out... otherwise, just watch the bidding to see if is in a "do-able" range. It might not be a bad idea just to pick it up... (seeing how I may just scrape up my front end again!)

I'ts more than the front spoiler on eBay. It is the whole bumper, grill, spoiler assembly. Not OEM but it looks good to me.

Byron there is a front spoiler on e-bay looks like the 89-92 style with the blcak on the bottom.
But it now is 1400 I think.
I believe that you could probably have it rebuilt for a lot less.

Byron - On my first roadtrip with my car I hit a 35lb racoon on Highway 1 between Morro Bay and Cambria. The bump in the road ripped about 18 inches of spoiler off the car. I took the car to a friend of mine who owns a body shop for the repair. Since the spoiler is fiberglass, he asked a friend who does fiberglass work on speedboats for assistance. Got the car back in 8 hours and the spolier looks brand new!!!

Byron,
arrghhh - that hurts!!!

suggestion, don't spend too much in having that fixed - with the driving that you plan to do,
that front end will have more blisters.
just do a band-aid fix on that one and
get a spare one that's prestine.
when that one is no longer usable,
then you'll have the spare one readily available.

OK now I don't feel so bad about mine. WOW that thing got munched big time! But mine is still very ugly, yours is still repairable. So from now on you have to lowrider it around the dips. Angles bro, angles. You can't drive straight at the dips. Oh man that was painful to see.

Byron, its bad and I feel for you. However it is a lot better then what I was expecting to see. I thought that it would be dangling in two pieces. You got to make the Ortega. They should have it ready for you by Ortega. If not I might take Matts suggestion and having it fixed after Ortega. Keep in mind Ortega is a drive, its not a concorso. I know you were worried about the way your car looked - everyone would, but its a drive to have fun. If you need any help in anyway, feel free to call. I as well as many others feel and are sharing some of your pain.

Byron,

If i recall, you have the same kind of crack on the driver side. If so it's kinda no harm, no fowl. It's a little road rash and is fitting for the car. I would get it fixed after Ortega just because of the drive. Actually I would buy a spare (regular 348) and keep it around for the nice "out on the town" drives and keep the challange on for the daily stuff. Let's face it, your car is very low and it will happen again

Thanks for the sentiments, guys... I am planning to drop off my car at the body shop next weekend - hopefully, I will be able to have it repaired in time for Ortega. If not, I may wait for after Ortega to repair it... Ouch!!

Oh man that sucks. The bottom part of my front bumper is so smashed up, that the guys I got the car from didn't even fix it properly. It looks like it was crushed bad against one of those cement parking stops. Anyhow, all they did was to glue a rubber strip across bottom part of the bumper. They did a bad job and it was comming unglued, so I pulled the thing off and then reattached it using and adhesive called "liquid nails". Any when I get the gumption up to get a new bumper, I'm gonna have a mold made up. This way I can make the bumper stronger, and if I destroy it I can always make a new one.

I was leaving the Disneyland Californian hotel... there were two very big dips on the way out... on one.. I just bottomed out badly... the other one caught my front lip... and split it from the rest of the bumper....also put a crack right down, perpendicularly to the bottom 4" of the spoiler...

I think I can get it fixed... after all, it's all fiberglass.... What a day. *sigh*

I'll try to post some pictures later.
