Matt, Thanks for the F-Chat emal update...looks like you guys have started the next Ferrari Club...watch out FOC & FCA. haha. Cool deal...no yearly dues! Thanks for putting the Bellagio run on your sheet of events, I look forward to having F-chatters on the event...a couple of things...i need to mention: 1) anyone signing up for this event - must be a member of one of the clubs- FOC or FCA...I don't care which. It keeps it fair for actual club members...as i limit the number that can attend this event...it keeps it exclusive and a demand sell-out! 2) this IS A FERRARI ONLY event with the exception of the CHP escort...and if they could drive F-cars with lights and sirens, they would! haha. I have an agreement with the Bellagio to provide xx number of F-cars and so with that this is Ferraris Only. Just want anyone interested in this event to join a club if not a member of one yet, and sign up when I release the sign up but be aware there are some guidelines. As mentioned THANKS for having my event on your F-chatter email release! cool very cool. | ||

Ron, I called and left word for the mailing list to be checked and corrected if necessary for your copy of the Sempre to reach you in the future and requested a replacement copy to be mailed to you promptly. Matt, the event is a package deal - you must have a paid reservation to attend. I have tried the other - of allowing non registrants to tag on - which only caused logistic issues. I know in theory it sounds simple to tag on but it does not work on this event. So all participants must be registered with me & paid for this event by event deadline. For those interested: I control the limited number of sign ups on this event. I keep the group at approx. 25 couples, (i understand you guys are thinking well the hotel has 3,000 rooms - that is not what this is about) it allows us to have a certain dining area and maintains an element of exclusiveness. This event is about the overall experience not just a numbers game. It is not a $50.00 ride and drive (do not misunderstand that comment - I enjoy those type of events but this is a bit more expensive and some are "ok" with that and some not) and not an event that children are allowed on so with that information some people are not interested. The Malibu Beach Run has 100 + cars for those who are into numbers. However this event has sold out each time I have put it on (and maintains that element of creating a demand) and I welcome anyone interested to sign up and attend it is a great event Yes we DRIVE on the way to Vegas and yes - we have the complete valet display area to park our Ferraris in behind velvet ropes with guards for the weekend. No - Valets do not ever drive your cars OR MINE! Yes I have my own Ferrari so just as I watch out for it I watch out for everyones. Ciao! | ||

I just spoke with the organizer of this event. Here are some details. The cost is about $1000 plus or minus depending on the room you choose at the Bellagio. It is limited to the first 25 couples who sign up and pay. The sign up sheet will go out around June 1st. I am not sure how it will be distributed but I am supposed to get a copy faxed to me. I will make copies for anyone who wants it. It was open only to FOC members but this year it will also be open to FCA members. If you want to go on the run and you are not a member, I suggest you join one of the clubs pretty soon. Also be prepared to sign up and pay as soon as the list comes out if you want to go. The run starts at the Ontario Mills Mall. The drive to LV will have a CHP escort. They block off the traffic lights leading to the freeway. After the group gets to more open spaces, the speeds start to pick up. The only rule is not to pass the lead Ferrari. There will be a CHP cruiser before and after the group. There is a stop for gasoline at the Chevron station in Baker. There is no escort coming home. The price includes a room, meals and shows. I do not know the details of particular shows, etc. The run is only every other year. If you miss this year it will be 2005 before it is done again. The name of the lady organizing the event is Tambi and her (new) phone number is 310-453-4100. I suggest that we not bombard her with calls. It sounds like great fun. I hope we can all go. |
