Thanks guys, I was specifically interested in if they allowed spectators at the start of the Players Run, cause I know that starts this weekend in LA (at the Hollywood Bowl I believe), and if it would be worth perhaps checking out.
Thanks for the Gumball info, though if it starts in SF then its a bit out of the way for me. Thanks again. |

Eric there is such a thing. The Gumball 3000 is what one race is called. Yeah you can go and see all the cars as they leave you just have to find out were they will be. Hey guys,
After reading some posts here and there, and lurking in the other "areas", I kinda got curious about these cross-country drives.
I know there is the Players Run, but is this the same as the Gumball/Cannonball race, if there is even such a thing, and do all, if any, start in LA? I know the Players Run starts this Fri, I think, from LA.
It seems like there will be lots of publicity/hype around these things. Is it possible for "normals" to go and check out the starting line...do they allow spectators? Where does this thing(s) start?
If they do allow spectators, and it is as nuts as it sounds like it is going to be, I might want to go check out the scene/cars. |
