Got it down now, only took a day to get used to. I had previous knowledge of stick driving, so it was just a matter of gettnig used to teh car.

Jordon, you should try to get a pic of it for your profile. Hows the stick coming along--when you're first starting with stick, the gas always seems touchy in first (at least that was my experience when I was learning)...you just got to be smooth. Congrats!

Yea, I cant wait to meet all of you guys! JL, are you driving down with Matt to pick me up or are we meeting you with everyone else in Irvine...BTw, can someone e-mail me the meeting location in Irvine so I know where it is?

Im gonna get made fun of here with my burger rocket lol. Thats a new term to me :-) Oh well...Its my baby horsey until I can afford an italian stallion. Im probably going to have it for 2 or 3 years until my insurance goes down enough to trade it in for a 944 Turbo :-) Then my next step is a Fcar as soon as possible after college!

What's tricky with it? OH I know... it's because it's in the standard position unlike the ferrari 5spds, with the first gear in the standard 2nd gear position!!...hehe

Im having so much fun with it...but naturally I got it durring the week with the most homework ive ever had...I just want to drive it! The car has a really tricky first gear...much different than any other stick ive driven, but ill get used to it with more time.

Im really excited because, though I know how to drive stick, we didnt own a manual car, so I can now practice my skills and become more fluent in my shifting :-)

Jordan, that's awesome, congratulations...! i'm not a big fan of Mustangs, but no one can deny that they're great cars, in their own right. Congratulations... let us know how your first real drive goes... :-)

Well, we found the right car today...A white on tan 99 Ford Mustang. Its pretty cool! Even though Ive never liked mustangs in my life (and i know some people here hate them), this car is pretty awesome. Its quick and fun to drive...not to mention easy to shift *its a 5 speed*. It was the right price and the right car.

Even though we could have gotten a 944, or some older porsches and other similar cars, they would have bankrupted us on insurance, since i am still a relatively new driver...In 3 years Ill be able to get one when the rates go down though.

Now I can join you guys on some local drives :-)

Unfortunately, Ive got so much homework I cant drive my new baby until tomorrow if I have time...I have about 8 hours worth since I had to miss a few days for an orchestra gig. Oh well, better get started...Just wanted to share the news!
