anything is negotiable

Matt,
now its more justifiable to the wife
if they agree to a significant price decrease

or tell them to fix everthing included with the agreed price

But seriously folks.... this car has not been registered in the US before?

Matt, you should do a car fax on the car regardless of the seller's good statements.

I am almost positive that EBay has the VIN listed and you can get a free car fax this weekend. See this link http://www.carfax.com/cfm/promo.cfm?name=nbc4

The chassis number was Something 2226 If I recall. It's an 85. I have not spent that much time with it to go over the car. At the PPI I will get all the info.

I told my wife that I was planning on adding a Diablo and Testarossa this year to my collection and she got pissed. I finally was able to settle her down by promising her a Boxter. Maybe something similar would work for you. Yes it is definately more meaty looking in a good way. What number is yours?

Congrats! She is absolutely stunning! I know you will enjoy her, maybe even moreso than the 308!

The only problem I can see is you have to be sure you are super clean before sliding into those white seats. :-)

Best of luck and enjoy!

DES, I also see the bar...somehow I thought you were speaking of the picture above that one and I thought, yes this car does hall ass. This is, however, the first time I am hearing about the bar. Not all 360's have the bar, do they? How do you use "the bar." Perhaps those who know can enlighten us.

Matt,
Good Job!! I also have a white Jalpa as well as a 308. The Jalpa has an awesome engine sound. You will also notice it is a much bigger car. You have to see them in person. Pictures don't do them justice. I have had mine for about 10 years with no problems and love it. Hope the PPI goes well. If you have any questions let me know.

Steve

Bob,

yes you can drive it.

Ron,

You can drive the 308 and the Jalpa

Peter,

The car has been in Calif but there is a Canadian connection. The owner was talking about it but I and JL were a bit confused about it.

Wayne

I will bring it by when I get it. It will have it's PPI in about 2 weeks. The owner is going out of town and will do it when he get's back.

Wife is ticked because it is yet another 2 seater car that leaks fluid, and will break down that will have me spends hours upon hours in the garage working on it. She did put the hammer down by saying one has to go. Cars a a very, VERY, VERY, VERY sore subject in our house.

I wouldnt want to ask you to take payments that long :-) Im actually looking for my first job, so we will see how it goes...Even if I made the money myself, I dont know if my parents would let me do it :-)

It did and still does look gorgeous.

Matt, congratulations, this is a really nice car... You sent me the link hours ago, but i didn't have a chance to respond- i DID, however, have a chance to look at the pictures... Which is what i'm doing now, too...

i've never seen a Jalpa before... To be perfectly honest, if i saw this on the street, i would walk right by it, thinking it was some import of any given sort, given it's boxy nature- that and the fact that i've NEVER seen a Lamborghini with such square lines and corners...
The car looks really nice, though... i like that it's a convertible- does it take a year and a day to get the top off like some other exotics...? Is it hard to see out of the mirror, through that tiny, back window...? The interior looks great- no cup holders, though, huh...? Tsk...

That letter you posted a picture of, like you said, states that there are only 7 with a white interior... But it also goes on to state that there are only 10 with a white exterior... Exactly how many are there that are white on white...?

All in all, it's a very nice car- if i ever make it out there, i'd love to see it...

Oh... 9th picture from the top, what does everyone see...? i see something and it tells me that this car hauls ass- i noticed it in a 360 after someone here on FerrariChat mentioned it and when i saw it on the 360, i laughed out loud- does anyone know what i'm talking about...? i wish i could remember who mentioned it... LOL, it's just funny... :-)

Will this replace the Boxer?

I don't know yet. I have a lot of heart in that boxer

When do you get it?

In about two weeks. A ppi needs to be done next week. It was on ebay. He was local so Jean-Louis went to look at it.

Does it need any work?

A little on the inside. That's about it.

it's a 3.5 liter, with 255 hp

Rob,

it's an 8. It was the 328 fighter in the 80's. They made only 410 of them. this is one of 7 that has a white interior.

It looks better in the pic's. it's a little rough in some spots on the inside but it's a great car. its a 9 on the outside and a 7 on the inside.

Time for Lambochat!!
