My dad and I were going to go up and watch the qualiftying, not as crowded So if we can't all make it in on race day that might be another option. |

You know, in the past I've always wanted to go, but for some reason or another or because I just forget, I always miss it. I was kinda pumped about this year's event and actually took the initiative once to check out the website and ticket info. But, since then, I had again forgotten about it, ha. Anyways, what I am saying is that hopefully I'll make it this year, and if we are able to develop plans to go together you can count me in on this one. |

If you guys get a group together and decide exactly how many tickets, etc you want and get someone's credit card to use to charge all the tickets, I will make a call. At most, possibly I could get a decent ticket location, but may not even be able to do any more than the average buyer. It depends on what they have committed to already. They always give the same or better seats to people and groups returning from the previous year. Also, they have had many changes of personnel since I was there. You can go on their website http://www.longbeachgp.com/ and do some ticket research. I would need a specific number of tickets requested, the preference as to location and other items wanted (garage passes, parking, etc.) Added: What I would recommend is one of the hospitality options. The Ocean Club is great for groups of 10. It also looks like the Turn 1 Club or the Star/Finish Line Club are good options with preferred seating. I do know both of the people listed on the web site for the hospitality options.

I will be in HI that weekend, so count me out. BTW I never told you guys, but I used to work for them for about 3 years. I was the CFO. Got to take a few hot laps in the pace car as a passenger. Pretty cool. Make sure you get tickets that give you access to the garage areas for at least Friday and Saturday. |

Sounds like this is the start of an April event, Gene... I've never seen the GP in person (although I have raced through Shoreline Drive as they set up the grandstands before the event... oooh that sound is awesome!)... let's go! Tickets, meeting spot, and parking are probably all we need figure out... |
