You guys are all milkers. I took the Ferrari out last night up on Sunset and to the Beverly Cener. 11.4 miles. I have almost hit 3500 in 7.5 months |

JL left it at home during the Nethercutt tour today. It was a nice, Sunny 75 degree day, and he leaves it at home. The vintage cars in the collection see more road time then his. |

JL, you have issues... drive it! ;) There are more guys who drive their cars in the snow! Btw, are you going to flat-bed to Dromo? haha... Gene, good call on the exercise...now if only I can get myself to do exercise every 2 weeks. |

JL, i used to do that but have stopped because it seems like without running the car at higher revs, you are creating a build up in the cats making it run hotter therefor the cat sensors (slow down light)would light up whenever i turn her over now, i take a 10 minute drive - including a run on and off the freeway i make sure she gets her excercise every two weeks or less |

Matt, The guy in Bozeman that I know is named Reggie. I can't remember his last name. He plays guitar in a well known group, and his wife is a doctor of some sort. Could there be two 246GT this close to me and I don't know about it? I lucked out and have a mechanic locally that can do my service. Beats the hell out of Denver or Salt Lake.

JL Can you afford the miles on your car for the welcome drive? if not, we can get a flat bed to bring it. |

Well the rates go down for any new driver after 2 or 3 years of driving. Not much, but enough to maybe make a difference in what car I purchase. We could have bought a great 944 for less than the mustang, but the insurance for a porsche on a teenage drivers name is 3 times greater than a ford |

Bill, hilarious. JL, awesome story. I'm going to drag my father on the April run if he wants to or not. Then, maybe then, he'll not have this quiet disapproval air about him when it comes to my turn at ownership. And, wipe those silly thoughts from his head I'd buy anything but a Ferrari. Jordan, I didn't have my license until I was 22... but, there's an insurance break between 17 and 18 or 19.. ? Yikes! Sunny |

Any girl that can drive a ferrari is cool! Well for my car, Ive been taking it for lots of short spins lately. Ive got so much homework I dont have time to really take it anywhere, but im really enjoying it! Plenty of power for a 17 year old In 2 years Im going to trade it in for a Porsche 944 Turbo when my insurance rates go down. After that, next step: FERRARI! |

Let the girlfriend drive the car. Her third time. This time it was on P.C.H. and Sunset, so she got to feel some of the power of the car, first hand. 26.4 Miles She now wants me to give her my car and by another Ferrari. I told her we would by a house before we bought another Ferrari. But deep down inside I thought "wow this is a cool girl". |

Matt, One down and four to go! I know a guy in Bozeman that has a 246GT that is driven less than mine, if you can imagine that! It is hard to get the cars out when you have only 5 to 6 months of really nice weather. I do envy you west coaster's. I also do get to South Cal. several times a year, especially San Diego, and Bay area. Monterey (SIC) is my favorite, especially in August! |

Matt, I'm thinking about it but I'm afraid someone might see me. After the snow goes away I might venture out early in the morning. I intend to put at least 100 hard miles on it this year. |

My 1983 garage queen has 20,000 miles on it. It had 19,500 when I bought it 12 years ago. I took my queen out on Saturday afternoon. After a warm up period outside the garage, I ran it at maximum allowable speed ( about 35 MPH ) 4 blocks up to the gas station. After adding air to one tire I drove straight home and put it back in the garage. I don't think anyone saw me, but I can't be sure. Later this spring after some more service I intend to take it out onto the freeway. |

Jordan... last night, i went for a midnight drive; not many people around, so it was a little more enjoyable... An early morning drive is definitely a good idea... i do that on the weekends; i'll watch movies until about 4:30-5AM, then i'm off- there's usually not a soul around... i would almost guarantee, too, that you'll be more focused on your music and will probably play very well, afterwards... The drive will relax you and take your mind off of the car for a little while... Congrats, by the way, on the car, i hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it... |

Jordan, here's a tip from an older fella. you reap what you sow. being good at something takes alot of effort and dedication. your hard days will pay-off. the mustang drive early in the morning is a good idea |

LMAO!!! Great thread! Cant wait to hear some more ragging! Well my mustang has been sitting for a week because I have nothing but orchestra rehearsals all day and night every day for the next month. That means I have to drive the van I think on Saturday Ill wake up a few hours early and take it for a drive before my 8am rehearsal. Ugh, maybe I dont want to be a musician |

Alright Since everybody rags on me (and others) I thought a thread might be in order. Today my daily driver is in the shop overninght, and my assistant left early. So I had to make the 9pm next day air drop. Whoe-is-me the only car in the garage was the 348. So I drove the car to drop of the mail and I figured since I was out might as well add gas ($2.25 a gallon- yikes) and to top of the car with a half a quart of oil. All-in-All I Put 6.8 miles on the car. Aren't you guys proud of me? LOL Please post you exciting drives on "Garage Queen Diaries" |
