Jordan-

No worries, I'll gladly help you out, man. It's all in good fun, and really does translate back onto the street.

Matt-
Email sent.

Byron-

Hurry up w/ that flush, man. I'm getting my t-belt/water pump, accessory belts, cam seals, tensioner, etc. done tommorrow. Then, on Saturday, I have to:

adjust valves
change tranny fluid
install new rotors (front)
install ss brake lines (all 4 corners)
flush/bleed brake fluid
install new plugs

then next Saturday:
install new pads
bed in pads
change oil

If I can get ALL that done BEFORE the 21st, I'm sure you can flush your coolant. Man, sorry, but I can't make it to Dromo; too much to do on my car, and my buddies, gonna spend all weekend wrenching, more or less. Sorry, have fun though. Come to the track.

Hubert,
You know I'm totally game for a track day... I'll just need to drain my coolant first... the car is running warmer than I want it to. The transaxle and engine oil is new and the clutch system recently bled... I'm just about ready to go. Hmmm, all I will need is a new helmet and roll-bar attachment for my dv camera. Car is getting repaired at the moment (bumper)...

Are you coming to Dromo1?

Well, if I were to drive a track, I would appreciate all teh instruction I could get! Definetly would take it very easy my first time around. It must be a blast though!

Jordan-

Sure. I've run all these track before, more than once, and would be happy to show you my line. From the passenger seat of course, and at your own pace. I'm not claiming to be an expert, but I'd gladly share all my info with you.

My spring break doesnt start until mid april, so I probably cant make it out. Thanks for the offer though. You say youll do some instructing, so would you be able to instruct me if I took the car out there? Im a bit skeptical about taking it but maybe...

jordan-

my track car has power steering, abs, srs, and whatever other three letter alpahbet soup you'd like. bring the car, man. as long as your tires are good, batteries tied down, and you've got a helmet there's no reason not to run the car.

you should try and make it out on the 21st (won't you have spring break?) snag a helmet and i'll happily give you more than one or two laps around.

-hubert

ps- jordan...F1 cars have power steering.

I might go to the august 22nd one, not to track the mustang, but just to watch and maybe hop a ride or two. I dont think tracking a mustang with power steering would be wise :-)

pps- (since I can't edit my post??)

All the events listed are about 1.5 hours from LA/OC; I'll be making the drive from San Diego (~ 3.5 hours) just to drive another 8 hours (possibly do a little 'instructing' = even more seat time), and then drive home, another 3.5 hours. All done in a non-adjustable race seat.

So, none of you can use the 'it's too far' line. I've got all of you beat.

I've made a list of upcoming track days. Cost, contact, and organization are all included. I'm going to Buttonwillow, again, on the 21st of March (two weeks) with speedventures.net. You guys NEED to get out there, and show all the vette and viper boys what the real deal is.

'Cmon guys.

ps- it's $125 bucks for the event on the 21st. Dirt Cheap! Byron...'cmon, man.
