Yes, you are right, Sunday.

I have no idea what day it is anymore.

Simon,

Get him to come out on Friday.

I did hear from Alan J at the Auto Gallery that he like to throttle his cars.

MattS: this "guy" is one of our regulars at the track. I won't give out his name, but he's really a good guy. Yes, he has a yellow Pagani Zonda S you may have seen a couple years ago at Concorso. He's definitely an enthusiast and really drives his cars on the track, where they were meant to be driven!

He enjoys his cars.

Don't mean to be cheeky, but... I always think that stuff is better left off of public boards, anyway.

I have heard that guy with the Enzo has also a Pagani Zonda C12S and Ruf R-Turbo widebody. Does anybody know what this guy does?

Matt,
Not sure about the F40, F50, I know that flying isn't the prefered method of transport. The only advantage to flying is the time factor....The flip side is the loss of logistical control.

By the way, I got your message regarding the change of meeting point, & I look forward to seeing you at the new one.

Dean, I hope your friend enjoys his new car, and I understand he has been very good natured about the 'hiccup' with the clutch.

didn't Ferrari air freight the F-40 and F-50 two at a time over to the US?

Dean,

Are you going to join us on the April 6th Drive?

I know the owner. If you want to see the car, you'll likely find it around Malibu on the weekend mornings...

Likewise for 348's... the fiberglass front spoilers are like eggshells... hopefully when I put my carbon kevlar front lip on it, I'll have some better luck with the driveways!

Are you coming on the drive on the 6th?

Funny you should mention that Byron....Because it also got scuffed under the nose, which is carbon fibre!!!

It's not like the black underside of the 360 nose which is easy to patch and respray...You can't patch carbon fibre....I think that is going to be a real pain in the arse problem for Enzo owners

jason,
That's pretty interesting. I can only imagine what kind of damage was done to the spoiler getting it in/out of the plane... and all the airport handlers jumping in and out of the car! Molested would be an understatement. Rape is more like it!

It's in the shop being 'fixed' at the moment...It needs a new clutch, apparently the guy was in such a hurry to get the car, he instructed Ferrari to fly it over (they're normally shipped)....They assume that the clutch was damaged by one of the airport handlers....Yep the cars are moved by them.

FYI, I did a lot of research before I sent my 360 to LA from England....Don't ever fly a vehicle, it is sooo much safer to ship it in its own container. You can see your car loaded and customs sealed, and see it unloaded at the other end. When you fly it, the car has to be delivered to a bonded facility....Due to security, it has to be handled by the airport handlers so you have NO control over its movements and who drives/plays with it....I'm sure when the Enzo turned up in the cargo hanger it was molested!!

Yesterday, I stopped by the Auto Gallery in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. The General Manager told me they had just delivered the first Enzo from their dealership. Of course, he would not tell me who it was but he did say the car was red and the owner was going to drive it on a regular basis. Since I do not lived in that area and many of you do, please be on the look out for it.

Post the first sighting of it.
