Victor,

I am glad you had a good time. I hope the Vipers clubs and Ferrari's clubs can have a drive soon together in the future.

Thanks, Matt, for the gracious invite! It was fun!

Good to meet you, and Byron, Christian, Jean-Louis, and everyone else whose names I haven't got firm yet.

What a group of cars! Beautiful day, nice people.
I can appreciate all cars. I know two Viper owners who have S2000s, and they love them. Perfect 50/50 weight distribution, and a ball of fun. Good looking car, too.

You know, GM is offering 0% for 60 months on Vettes right now, if anyone is in the market.

I don't know much about Ferraris, but as a casual outside observer, my favorite is the 360 Modena.

I'm in Irvine also, and like to cruise Ortega, and the beach cities.

Thanks again, Matt, and everybody.

Ron - I appreciate the welcome. I hope that I didn't keep you from having too much fun. I'm a pretty conservative driver by nature and frankly, my little S can't keep up with some of the muscle that was there on even the best of days. I was trying to leave enough cushion between the car in front of me and still leave you with enough room to have some fun. That was my sister Dana with me on Sunday. The lovely Mrs. Asis was in NY but she's all fired up to come out to the next event we get invited to.

Byron - You are correct about Dana. Good memory. I live in Rancho Santa Margarita and would love to get together. Just let me know. I'd jump at the chance to hear that bad boy of yours again.

Jean-Louis - Sorry that I didn't spell your name right in my earlier post. You were super cool to Dana and I on that drive and we appreciated every second of it.

Jordan - I'd be all for getting together. You guys let me know. I've only done Dromo a few times (we rented the place out for my bachelor party) and I suck at it but it's a ton of fun to be sure.

Bob - Thanks for the compliment. I'm actually really happy with my S2K. Its no Ferrari but its about as much fun as you can have, just the same. Its got a 2.0L I4 that puts out 240bhp. It redlines at 9,000 rpm (hence my personalized plate) and just screams. The brakes are great, it handles really well (front engine, rear wheel drive and 50/50 weight distribution) and has an amazingly solid chassis for an open top car. Some folks bash it for having relatively low torque but the truth is that given its very low weight (about 2,800 lbs), efficient gearing (6 speed manual only that is just as rewarding a gearbox as you're going to find) and if you drive it like a sports car should be driven, its just a blast. Kind of like a motorcycle with doors. Anyway, I'll quit with the commercial but you're more than welcome to take her for a test drive. Just let me know when and where.

And finally, not to beat a dead horse but...

Thanks again to all of you. I showed my wife some of these pic's last night and was just beaming with how much fun I had. Just an awesome group of car enthusiasts and an amazing cadre of machinery. Please do look me up if you're in Orange County. I hope to see you guys again.

I am glad you all had fun on the drive.

I am planning one for LA or OC now. June 8th.

It will have maps and be more elaborate.

Bob,

Thanks for the smokes. And I did not get time in Prison.. :-)

Byron,

I just got the camera and it was it's first day out. Hard to take pic's while shifting @ 8,000 rpms.

Ron, you were so tight on Christian's tail the whole time that I picked up a few new rock chips on the front of the P-car. Then again, I doubt anyone will notice!

Ron - I believe that was Dana, his sister.
Christian - thanks for the kind words about my car (other people have been known to tear up due to fumes...haha)... your gratitude is well-appreciated and you are most certainly welcome to come out again on a future event - you're right about one thing... we love cars! (That's why our motto is "We Drive and Drive Often") btw, where are you in So OC? I live in Irvine and would love to get together sometime over the weekend.

Bob - I believe that was Justin you were referring to... from NSX Driver.

Jeff, Frances, Jimmy, and gang... it was great to meet you all... I hope you don't ever downplay your cars at all... they were some sweet rides!! Shoot me an email if you guys ever wanna hook up on the weekends down in OC.

Jordan - you missed a good one, yes... but your Mustang brethren was represented...hehe...

Sunny - awesome pics... and Matt, you gotta take out the 4.0 megapixel bad boy more often! JL - tell Julie we missed her on this one.

It was nice to meet all of you, too... keep a lookout for our next event... hmmm....Dromo, anyone? :-)

Hi Christian,

I'm glad you came and that you enjoyed the drive. Your yellow S2000 really moves out. The only reason I could keep up with you was that I was driving Wayne's P car.

I look forward to seeing you and your friend (wife?) again.

Matt, Byron, John, Ron, Steve and the rest of the gang -

Thank you so very much for your hospitality and for an amazing event that I will never forget. To tell the truth, I was more than a little worried about showing up in my measely little Honda (I mean hell, I'd be willing to bet that the wheels on one of those modified Porsche's cost more than my whole car) but you guys made me feel very welcome.

You hear stories/stereotypes about Ferrari owners but I didn't experience even a second of that. Instead, I found a group of enthusiasts with some awesome machines that wanted to talk cars, drive some awesome roads, and well... talk cars a little more.

For the record, my round trip drive to Matt's house was a little over 190 miles and it was worth every foot. I'll never forget the last piece of that drive when I was behind Byron's 348 and got to hear that puppy wail. I got goose bumps!

So thanks again you guys. Sincerely.

I hope to see you all again and please, please, please, look me up if you're ever in South Orange County. We have some awesome roads down here to, you know!

PS - I have some neat pic's and some video that I need to download. As soon as I get that done, I'll put up a link.

Still stoked from that drive,

Matt,

You're a great guy and I want to thank you for the drive (even though I wasn't invited) :-) what I really want to do is thank the guy (I forgot his name) that asked me if i could alow his girl friend to drive with me. She was a 23 year old babe! I was seriously thinking of loosing you guys and going straight to Las Vegas!

Anyway, I hope he understands and I hope to see his girl friend again. And I'm waiting for the next drive :-)

Matt, Byron, Everyone,

It was a top notch experience to be able to meet you all. It was great fun to meet people who share the same enthusiasm and I hope we could be welcomed to future events.

With that said, are the drive events consisting of twisty mountain roads? I think my 996 C2 would probably be better for those situations, although the SL was great fun to cruise in as well. Please let me know what type of road conditions there may be next time.

Again thanks to everyone.

Sunny, Byron,

Great Pic's! I looked like a traffic jam in the back of the pack.

Weldon,

Sounds like a great idea.

All,

This was the first time the 308's out numbered the 348's!

Matt,
Looks like all of you had a great time sorry I missed it. Everytime you put a run together it seems everybody has a great time. Maybe the next time you have a run out by your house maybe we all could have brunch at Le Chene's French Resturant on Sierra Highway in Saugus. Just a Suggestion. Weldon

Wayne, it sounds like I had more fun than you. Your P car has much more power than my lowly Mondial. It is so smooth and has such pulling power and sticks to the road so well.

I would like to know more about it. What is the model number and any options or special configuration extras. This would be a great car to cruise to Vegas in or to go anywhere including to work everyday.
