I just got back from a visit to the Marconi Automotive Museum. There were 2 F-50s, a F-40, a 550, a Viper, a BWM M-1, a nasty looking Mustang (69), a 456 convertible, a couple of 360s, plus a whole lot of others cars parked in the public parking lot. These were not in the museum. Humm!

I talked to the people there. It is a non-profit organization benefiting children. It is only open to the general public on week days. It closes at 5:00 each day. But, and this is a big but, they are open for special events on week ends and the evening. Today, about 500 people will be coming for a special event. It will be having food and drinks.

The cost is $800 for up to 50 people ($16 per person) or $1,200 for up to 100 ($12 person). This does not include any food or drinks. The parking is inside the fence so no problem with our cars.

It appears to me that this venue would make a great place to end a road trip on a Saturday or Sunday. I never went into the museum

As I was leaving, a flatbed drove into the parking lot with a 1926 Ford flatbed on it. The driver had to crank start it to drive it off the trunk.

Would you be able to go around 1:45 in the afternoon or would that be too late for either day?

I was just there a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, they are not open on the weekends, and you need to go during work hours. But it is definately worth skipping out of work for a few hours.

http://marconimuseum.org/default.htm

Someone from the forum just showed me that website and its an awesome Museum in Tustin that has several ferraris from all eras and a lot of other classic cars. Check out the website. It might be fun to plan an event around going there.
