Maybe Rob could add a "Car & Wife Swapping" forum.

Id love to. Anyone want to trade for a 6 cyl. Mustang? A nice clean 5 spd...cheap fun car with 42k miles (its a 99). hm...didnt think so :-)

Oh well, I can only dream that an exotic car owner has always wanted one and would be willing to trade for a day *crosses fingers!*

JDB is right- most car fans have a good respect for any nice car and would not do anything to anothers that would be done on their own.

At least I wouldnt. JDB- maybe we can work something out after it cools down, been busy with other stuff this summer...thanks!

We didn't do anything as formal as a contract. I guess the thought was that there'd be mutual respect for the other person's car. Neither of us pushed the other's car -- it was more just to get a feel for how they drive. And I would expect that if anyone did do something to the other guy's car, they'd be responsible for paying to fix it.

My intent wasn't to upset anyone or make this too complicated -- I just had a good experience doing it and wanted to see if anyone else was up for it. LC -- let me know if you're interested in an NSX / Viper swap. :-)

yea its an interesting concept but people tend to push cars that aren't there's more.. and there not familiar with the car and they could smack it....i let my brother drive my modena on the track 55 mph drive around last weekend at Fontana and he looped it in the chicane before the straight...he drive a M3 everyday...and the traction control was on...so thats my 2 cents..something to think about....what do u do if they crash it or blow the motor?...do you write up on contract???...keep their car???

I've done this for a day with a friend of mine for a CLK 55 vs. my NSX. It is fun to see what another car is all about especially one you like or wonder about.

I got to drive a 348 for the first time last week! I swapped my '95 Viper for a 348 TS for the week. It was a lot of fun and worked out well for both of us.

If anyone wants to drive a Viper (8,000 miles on it, picture in my profile) and is interested in doing a weekend or week swap (100 - 200 miles or so), e-mail me and maybe we can set something up. Especially if you have a 355! ;-)
